Because he's continuity and stabilizes the offensive room
He's been passed over 2 different times by John Schneider. I'm not sure he is someone that they truly consider for the O.C job. He makes sense but I'm just trying to think beyond that.

Justin Outten also brings a lot of continuity. I argue even more continuity.

Can someone explain the rules to me.. cuz the interview stuff I never grasped... I thought some of this was off limits until a certain time period depending on how far your team made it etc?

I get it.. its money... still find it quite dickish to do it on the up come to the SB. You want the dude, wait a week ffs

Where... when? What year? Only time he has interviewed for that position was Tampa Bay in 2024.. and just this year for Detroit....

Exactly...

The team hasn't even given him an interview even though they have needed an O.C for 2 straight off-seasons. It's not like they didn't know who he was. He is from the McVay tree after all.

He has been passed over twice by the team! Not getting a chance to interview is still being passed over.

So, explain to me why do people think he's a front runner for the O.C job now? You made my point for me.

?? LOL What?? Your logic is.... wow..

Because he's now been with the team.. possible for a promotion after a progressed offense .. grasps concepts and has worked under teams that dominate against our style of defense... and thrives in a hybrid style setup

I literally did not make your point. You were making straw man arguments with the most absurd "source" (Oh well they didnt interview him... ) You CANNOT be serious? At all... oh whats that an entirely new coaching staff who may have or need different needs ... You think John is the main deciding factor in the OC? Just... wow again

This isn't going to go anywhere.. have a good one.

You're right. This is going nowhere.

No point in explaining anything if you don't understand what I just said. I'll ask again.

Why is he a front-runner for the O.C job now?

Are you going to answer?

I would actually feel comfortable if Jay Harbaugh took the offense over. I remember Macdonald saying he could coach any group on the team with success

He has coached various different groups on both sides of the ball. Pretty impressive stuff.

You can find his bio on the Seahawks' website. Just in case the dude above starts screaming at me for citing things.

I’m annoyed by it because pretty much everyone.. regardless of rules are basic saying “Klint Kubiak IS the next Headcoach of the raiders” I’m annoyed by it because the interviewing team has to come visit, instead he was seen with Mark Davis in LV habit dinner.

Im annoyed by it because LV and the Media not only have confirmed it but have skirted the ******* rules to announce it, during the teams BIGGEST WEEK.

Lastly
F the NFL for allowing it and not shutting shit down
F Kraft and whatever media outlets he owns
F Mark Davis
F The Raiders
F Kubiak (I get he wants a Promotion, but don’t spew nonsense about “winning A LOT of games In and with Seattle when you clearly have 1 foot out the door!) F him more if we loose the SB, and F him if he takes Durde and Benton.

I remember being bummed when Dan Quinn left for the Falcons and my brother in law saying:

"That's what happens when you win the Superbowl"

Go get Arthur Smith before he signs that Ohio State contract.

IMO would be a perfect hire for what we do good offensively.

I know these HC come sometimes far and few in between opportunities and I’m sure he is eyeing one but if he does go, I hope Mac and possibly Schneider, know exactly who is in like to be a great OC next. Darnold, we have our present and future Super Bowl QB, we just need to keep consistent high quality coaching supporting Sam’s talents. JSN, is also a superstar that needs consistent high quality coordinators able to fully utilize JSNs talents.

I have a feeling, The Raiders and the Cards, want Kubiak.
I'd rather kubiak go to Phoenix so DaddyMAC can slap him around twice a year
