Seems like the guy they want. You're presupposing Kubiak being
the right guy for Las Vegas?
Seems like the guy they want. You're presupposing Kubiak being

Yes it does seem that way.Seems like the guy they want.![]()
They waited for who they think is the right guy. We made the same gamble. You're presupposing Kubiak being
the right guy for Las Vegas?
I like it. A lot.No .
It's our choice . We , the huddled starving masses in faded Jon Kitna jerseys.
Yeah, we're just discussing the situation. None of us have any control over anything we're discussing, and doubtful any of us have any more insight than the professionals involved. On the other hand, sometimes we're right - how many of us feel smarter than the Viking's GM after his post-2024 season decisions? (not me, I thought Darnold would flop).HIS CHOICE.
All OC's and DC's want to be HC's. We've seen some who jumped at HC opportunities as soon as one came up, with disastrous results. Like every other discussion here, these are just armchair quarterback opinions.I think he should have stayed another year, but the guy has a chance to be a HC in the NFL. He's CHOOSING to do it, even if we want him to stick around. Can't blame a guy for wanting to become a HC. And let's be real, how many of us would pass up an opportunity like this? VERY few, imo.
I don't think Schottenheimer would still have a job anywhere other than the Cowboys. Jerry Jones gives a lot of rope, simply because he wants to prove his decisions correct, but I don't believe the Raiders will do the same, for anyone.Kubiak haas grown up in football, has lots of time in the league, is a insider so to speak, has the same type of pedigree as Shannahan and Schottenhiemer. all actually pretty close in age give or take ten years also. Raiders will give him rope, support him and also fall on his sword if it comes to that.
Fair enough. Can't argue with that. They waited for who they think is the right guy. We made the same gamble.
I didn't get the impression that that's how it went down. No one wanted the Raiders job, or the Cardinals. When those were the only two left, and Kubiak still hadn't gotten chosen for an HC job, but apparently was going to take one if at all possible, it was inevitable. They waited for who they think is the right guy. We made the same gamble.
And these OC and DCs don't care. All OC's and DC's want to be HC's. We've seen some who jumped at HC opportunities as soon as one came up, with disastrous results.
I guess one year must seem like forever when you are young. And these OC and DCs don't care.
The difference is the money. Kubiak would have to be someone's OC for years to make what he can make as a head coach. Even if it's as poorly ran as the raiders
Kinda what I was thinking. Honestly if that's what he wants ...good luckI guess one year must seem like forever when you are young.
I did not expect the Hawks to be in the super bowl this year. I'll sure take it though. Can't believe it only took 2 years.@Natethegreat This was bookmarked in November. The disadvantages of success. Tough to repeat
The 49ers have a revolving door of DCsI did not expect the Hawks to be in the super bowl this year. I'll sure take it though. Can't believe it only took 2 years.
We can find another OC.
Usually pretty good ones too.The 49ers have a revolving door of DCs![]()
And let's not forget that it wasn't until relatively recently there was any consensus whether Kubiak should even be retained or not.I did not expect the Hawks to be in the super bowl this year. I'll sure take it though. Can't believe it only took 2 years.
We can find another OC.
