Some very nice moves for the defense in Williams, Dodson, and Jenkins. That pulls us out of "desperate need" status for the draft and into just "urgent need". ;)

I think it's been a solid start and sets them up to not have to force draft picks for need. I am a fan of the Howell move and I think it could be a very underrated move in the long run.

This. I think we can focus on our o and d lines / linebackers in draft - or who knows - crazy things happen on draft day and people fall. - I don’t know why but I’d really like bowers -

Shouldn't Walker be RB1?

We still need a replacement for Bobby, but prior to the FA period we were desperate at MLB, Safety, TE, OL, and DL and we needed a QB2 and we've made moves at all those spots.

We are going to be much more flexible with our moves during the draft. I still think OL, DL, and LB are priorities but we don't need to reach.

Me too! I’d be ok with taking him at 16.

To answer the direct question, I don’t feel great about it.

The only time we’ve drafted a qb is the only time we’ve been contenders. And you woulda thought that might happen with Penix, but nah

I like the look of our O, not so sure about the D yet. Hopefully a couple more FA's and a heavy D draft. I'd be happy with 2 DL & a LB in our first 3 picks.

Guard/Center and Linebacker are extremely poor. I’d grade the units each a D and I feel that has some homerism artached.

I really like our WR RB and DBs is grade an A- across the board here

We need depth at TE our starters are fine but with no true depth I couldn’t give more than a C+ here. Get some solid depth and it could be a B+

QBs. We need 2022 Geno but o think we should expect 2023 Geno. I’m not sold on the backup at all. I had more faith in Lock but time will tell. C+\B- here. I think Geno is a solid starter but I’m afraid of what happens if he goes down

Defensive line has some solid players in it and some still need to prove their worth. Guys like Williams and Nwosu make it a solid B.

Special teams we have one of the best punters in the game but a kicker who goes from being Money and having long solid streaks to missing easy ones for no apparent reason. Will be interested to aee who ends up. Returning kicks and punts but as long as they don’t fumble things can only be better than last year. Solid B here.

Yeah, it looks like most of the holes at least have bodies in them. Still light in a couple of areas like OG and LB, but other than those we look pretty good.

They've plugged the holes well enough, and have done so mostly without entangling contracts.

JS got caught with his pants down at LB. He admitted as much. They wanted another. JS has always had the philosophy of using free agency to shore things up to free them up to go BPA in the draft. I'm worried that the holes at LB are going to force us into a Collier-type reach.

Aside from that, they're doing it right, and I think they can win year 1. Not a championship, but positive momentum and they're set up beautifully for 2025 forward.

This is year 1 of a process.

It’s a process, and not an overnight process. Still paying for bad contracts. Signed a lot of short term contracts for depth/to see if we can maximize talent. Draft will be a lot of BPA with some needs still at guard and LB. It’s not a sexy team that’s for sure.

I give it a C+. I think it will be bottom tier but that’s what I fully expected year 1 and probably even 2.
