Look the only one all worked up and hyperventilating is you. If you don't think missing 19 games in two years(very possibly more) is injury prone then good for you but reasonable people disagree.Pandion Haliaetus":qs9hn0l2 said:Natethegreat":qs9hn0l2 said:I'm hardly selfish or wringing my hands. I think we will kill the Saints with or without Harvin. However it certainly looks like Harvin is in fact injury prone and the trade may not have been the greatest considering the money spent and the draft picks we gave up.
By this measure, HALF the players in the NFL are INJURY-PRONE. So Harvin isn't alone in this. Its a physical sport, even if the NFL is trying to take the physicality out of it.
Around here I bet a player could miss 1 game per season for 5 years, and someone will call that player injury-prone trash that doesn't deserve to be on the team because he can't contribute on a full-time basis.
Natethegreat":ju8rlasx said:You are choosing to exclude major portions of his career to say he isn't injury prone. Fact is he has lost a lot of time to differing injuries (half of last year plus most of this year not to mention the other three games you brought up). At this point its very fair to say he is injury prone and I didn't like the trade then(mostly because of salary and attitude concerns) and I am liking it less and less so all the time. I think its time to cut ties with Rice and depending on what happens this year maybe Harvin too(even though he is a much more explosive player).Wee-Bey":ju8rlasx said:NFSeahawks628":ju8rlasx said:E.C. Seriously, what did Percy do wrong?
Are you f'ing kidding me? Like seriously...
The one knock on him coming to Seattle was that he couldn't stay healthy.
He's played 15 snaps through 12 weeks. It's so f'ing predictable and so obnoxious.
I'm pissed at the situation because I was a doubter and I didn't want to be but it was there when we made the trade.
Incredibly frustrating.
Hopefully he can be an asset sometime again this year but I won't hold my breath. I kinda don't want to hear about this for a while.
I don't know if he's kidding you, but you have to be kidding me. We're talking about a guy that missed three games in three years prior to spraining his ankle last season and being held out for political reasons.
The torn labrum was hist first major injury, it was taken care of and cleaned up, and now he's actively rehabbing and getting back into game shape. He's been day to day since the Vikes game, and is probably going to be day to day going forward until he's fully healed. Right now he's sore and they're being cautious.
I don't get what all the fuss is about.

I'm not hyper ventilating... I've just held my tongue many times that I would like over topics like these... but I honestly don't care anymore... I'll say what I feel need to say.
I guess if migraine issues, an ankle injury which Harvin could have came back from but disputes with his coaching led him to being put on I.R., and a hip injury nobody could have predicted make him an Injury Prone player... so be it.
All this would be moot when Harvin is finally healthy and contributing on a regular basis.

We find all our guys that actually, you know, do stuff for us and see playing time, after the first round. Okung and Thomas, but otherwise...Ugh.
I didn't like this trade from the get go, and boy, did I take a beating from fellow Hawk fans for expressing my doubts about this guy.
With all due respect who is crying our season is over who is crying we won't make the Super Bowl who is crying we won't beat the saints? From what I'm reading here it's kinda about harvin and his injury and how it effects HIS status with the huge salary and his non factor in this 2013 season. not the Seattle Seahawks status .not the Seahawks chances? So I'm not really getting this super fan stuff or this made up sky is falling garbage .Hawknballs":1ww049nl said:I wonder if Russell Wilson, Doug Baldwin, Jermain Kearse, and Golden Tate think that our season is over.

Those weren't Hawk fans, RD. Real Hawk fans don't berate other Hawk fans for expressing legitimate concerns about matters that warrant concern.
IE: A couple weeks ago, a couple Harvin groupies (posing as Hawk fans), suggested I "should be laughed off this board" for stating I would take Tate over Harvin (if forced to make that choice). Availability trumps ability every time. No exceptions. Go Hawks.

They realize that we spent handsomely for a dog that is never going to be able to hunt here. He is not going to help us get through that window. He kept us from signing some one else who could have helped and most importantly his contract is still likely to cost us the services of other important players next season. So we had dang well better get it done this season with out him because we will have to do it with even less next season because of him.
