Thanks for some perspective. :th2thumbs:chris98251":3a6x0wps said:Having had 8 joint surgerys of different degrees I can tell you that it can feel much better until you field test it under duress, shoulder, wrists and elbows for me, once used normally in a function that loads it it gets sore and can swell as the scar tissue and surgical site gets stressed. Resting it and then repeating the re hab exercises going forward until the surgical site accepts the wear and tear your going to subject it to takes time. Also everyones body heals differently and reacts different. If he didn't incur additional damage and it's a reaction to the stress of a real game then he may have a set back for a couple weeks. He has to re establish motion and flexibility as well as reduce inflammation of the surgical site flaring up to protect itself. He may have a fluid build up also which puts pressure on things. Till we know for sure we can only wait. But it's not abnormal for this stuff to happen.
Could be, or they just don't know. It might be one of those injuries that can feel fine one day and flare up for the next few days.akscoundrel":sqq7p1ev said:I wonder if its just a smoke screen to throw off the saints. Basically carroll just said he's doubtful, but they are gonna take it day by day and wait all the way until Monday to decide....I.e. Game time decision.
Carroll seems like a cheeky guy, and this will mess with the saints even if Percy doesnt play.
You are choosing to exclude major portions of his career to say he isn't injury prone. Fact is he has lost a lot of time to differing injuries (half of last year plus most of this year not to mention the other three games you brought up). At this point its very fair to say he is injury prone and I didn't like the trade then(mostly because of salary and attitude concerns) and I am liking it less and less so all the time. I think its time to cut ties with Rice and depending on what happens this year maybe Harvin too(even though he is a much more explosive player).Wee-Bey":3bosal9c said:NFSeahawks628":3bosal9c said:E.C. Seriously, what did Percy do wrong?
Are you f'ing kidding me? Like seriously...
The one knock on him coming to Seattle was that he couldn't stay healthy.
He's played 15 snaps through 12 weeks. It's so f'ing predictable and so obnoxious.
I'm pissed at the situation because I was a doubter and I didn't want to be but it was there when we made the trade.
Incredibly frustrating.
Hopefully he can be an asset sometime again this year but I won't hold my breath. I kinda don't want to hear about this for a while.
I don't know if he's kidding you, but you have to be kidding me. We're talking about a guy that missed three games in three years prior to spraining his ankle last season and being held out for political reasons.
The torn labrum was hist first major injury, it was taken care of and cleaned up, and now he's actively rehabbing and getting back into game shape. He's been day to day since the Vikes game, and is probably going to be day to day going forward until he's fully healed. Right now he's sore and they're being cautious.
I don't get what all the fuss is about.

Its funny how hindsight works wonder here, and many of you are just being selfish little haters, because the Seahawks prized acquisition is missing possibly the biggest game of the year.
Here are facts:
> Harvin's rehab was shorter than what was expected, he played vs. the Vikings because he felt good, he felt ready but what they didn't know or could predict was, how well his body, namely his hip would handle a game. Trial and error, right? If he's not right, he's not right, get him right, and save his future.
> Seahawks were 9-1 without Harvin, and likely still would have been 10-1 without him. The only thing that you have is if the Seahawks start losing games... THEN... you can say... well maybe we would have been 16-0 with him. But that hasn't happened yet, but still the sky is falling in Seattle because selfish fans with selfish opinions on how the team should be run.
No need to push a player, no need to risk losing him completely, because "the fans" want it so because THE SEAHAWKS sent 3 draft picks and rewarded one of the most amazing play-makers of this young decade a lucrative contract he probably deserved from somebody. The Seahawks didn't want that team to be the 49ers, so the Seahawks up their ante to not only get Harvin but keep him away from one of the strongest rosters in the NFL of Division rival.
Selfish, selfish, selfish fans.
So many assumptions and presumptions and ready to form the "angry mob". Ready to talk down and trash on players that don't meet their expectations of what they should be.
I don't even care if I ruffle the feathers of the wrong people in this post, I like this place, there are a lot of smart people, and lot of great insights, but the moment something goes wrong or awry...and the things I see some people say... is so disgusting and so disheartening... at least to me and what it means to be a fan. I'm not saying i'm a better fan than any of you but i'm not going to turn my back on a player or players just because things aren't going according to the master design or my own expectations for that matter.
Shit happens, get over it. This team isn't just 1 player, its a collective of talent, and I believe they can and will overcome everything in there quest to become Champions. With or without certain players that choose to make bad decisions or players who can't overcome their injury situations for the time being.

We find all our guys that actually, you know, do stuff for us and see playing time, after the first round. Okung and Thomas, but otherwise...Ugh.
