I wonder if Russell Wilson, Doug Baldwin, Jermain Kearse, and Golden Tate think that our season is over.
With all due respect who is crying our season is over who is crying we won't make the Super Bowl who is crying we won't beat the saints? From what I'm reading here it's kinda about harvin and his injury and how it effects HIS status with the huge salary and his non factor in this 2013 season. not the Seattle Seahawks status .not the Seahawks chances? So I'm not really getting this super fan stuff or this made up sky is falling garbage .

Exactly. The fact that we are 10-1 with the inside track to HFA doesn't mean we must sit here like a bunch of deaf mutes anytime we get some bad news. Let us blow off some steam, for crissakes!

This will get buried as this thread goes undoubtedly 30 pages but...

There is no one else worried, Carroll isn't worried, Blount has said there is no structural damage and that this is just a flare up which is expected.. Carroll wants Harvin in the playoffs and does not want to risk his season on this game..

Everything is fine.. Tate, Baldwin and Kearse have been great all year and Wilson is still around and healthy.. Plus we are playing at home.. Come on lol

Having had 8 joint surgerys of different degrees I can tell you that it can feel much better until you field test it under duress, shoulder, wrists and elbows for me, once used normally in a function that loads it it gets sore and can swell as the scar tissue and surgical site gets stressed. Resting it and then repeating the re hab exercises going forward until the surgical site accepts the wear and tear your going to subject it to takes time. Also everyones body heals differently and reacts different. If he didn't incur additional damage and it's a reaction to the stress of a real game then he may have a set back for a couple weeks. He has to re establish motion and flexibility as well as reduce inflammation of the surgical site flaring up to protect itself. He may have a fluid build up also which puts pressure on things. Till we know for sure we can only wait. But it's not abnormal for this stuff to happen.

Get out of here with this. Per Tech Worlds and others, this is a horrible trade and we should just IR him right now.

I think PC is playing coy with this and Percy is gonna have the best of both worlds. He's a member of the Seahawks, it paid mad money and is gonna get a Super Bowl ring having only played a few games to earn it. Ahhhh...some guys have all the luck.

I bet he plays the San Fran game. We don't need him at home against the Saints as much as we do on the road for pretty much the division title. So I don't see it as a smoke screen, just a tactical move to give SF less to see in regards to our plan for PH. If I were Harbs, I'd be pooping my pants.

Oh, and for goodness sakes, this is not a "smoke screen" by PC, has he ever put out a smoke screen like this?! Seriously name one time when he mislead us to believe anything that was not truthful...

How about when he said "We're going to build around Tavaris" two years ago after we beat the Eagles? Or how about the 3 way quarterback competition between Russell, Flynn, and TJack in the 2011 training camp?

Percy Harvin won't return kicks. Two weeks ago.

Symantecs, this is far more crucial than roles, this is the participation of a veery impactful /$$$ player. But i guess theres been small examples..

So his hip flared up, are we supposed to commit suicide?

Once again....Relax.

There is more drama here than on One Life to Live.

And if you want my medical opinion....after doing some research....Percy would be in the same pain now if he had listened to the Seahawk M.D.'s and not gone to surgery!! The East Coast surgeons did some minor trimming around the joint...there was not a major tear of tissue in the joint. He likely has a genetic weakness and as long as he plays professional football he is going to be in discomfort. He could heal for five weeks and then it might just take one hit and he'll feel increased pain once again. How is he going to address that? He could feel pain in that joint for another year. Eventually, as he ages, he will get osteoarthritis in his hip and require a hip joint replacement.

Compared to Walter Jones, Mr. Harvin is a pansy! Walter played with no pain killers for years....there is a "real football player"!

What also amazes me is that there isn't a single Orthopedic Surgeon in the Pacific Northwest who will come on here and give his "2 Cents worth" on this topic.

There are some who hear news about a guy returning from surgery missing a few practices in a row whose natural inclination is to worry. Full disclosure, I'm one of those. I feel it's a reasonable reaction given the circumstances.

Then there's the set of fans whose knee-jerk reaction is to call the initial reaction a knee-jerk reaction and act puzzled about it and start questioning fanhood (not everyone but some).

The no worries crowd is just going to have to live with the egg on the face this time. The amount of energy in "I told you so" in this thread is going to be roughly equivalent to the time that was spent scoffing at the concerns initially.

I hope he's mended by the time the playoffs roll around.

We have a window here. They usually don't stay open very long. I'm betting that most posters who are upset are like me. They realize that we spent handsomely for a dog that is never going to be able to hunt here. He is not going to help us get through that window. He kept us from signing some one else who could have helped and most importantly his contract is still likely to cost us the services of other important players next season. So we had dang well better get it done this season with out him because we will have to do it with even less next season because of him.

Our window is just this year?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Really... wow... it's damn surprising that this team is one of the youngest in the NFL the last two seasons and has won 22 games to only 7 losses... 21 games without Percy Harvin ever taken a snap.

And in those 7 losses, Seahawks HAVE BEEN IN EVERY ONE.

Last year, they were 30 seconds away from going to the NFC Championship.

This year, they are 10-1.

Every draft pick is a risk of not panning out, every free agent is a risk of not playing to his previous potential. Sometimes you take those risks, when Harvin is finally healthy, he's one of the best play-makers in the NFL. It hasn't worked out so far, doesn't mean it won't.

But right we should just I.R. and cut him because he's still rehabbing from a significant injury he was diagnosed with in August.

if Kleenex were smart they'd advertise to the 12th man.

Is this a joke? If not, this is appropriate, I think:
