Geno's on pace for 5000 yards with a bottom 5 O-line. He's not an MVP favorite, but if he continues at this pace, he's in that conversation.
This is exactly what I'm saying but for some reason people get mad when I say it

total yardage is easily the least important stat a QB can have. I was told last week there are zero Geno homers who post crazy takes. This thread just proves my point.

Can we enjoy that he’s playing great today and we’re winning? We don’t have to have this stupid debate every week

Better QBs than Geno: Mahomes, Jackson, Allen, Burrow, Purdy, Daniels, Goff, Stroud, etc., etc.

Wow. That took me 5 seconds to come up with. He's not a top 5 QB. He's not even a top 10 QB. MVP? LOL

It's not like he did anything other than post a thread with an opinion. The argument came in the form of replies...

and, no, I don't think Geno should be getting MVP buzz considering the way the award is currently judged.

They all have much better offensive lines. Geno has more yards then all of them with a much worse line. Impressive

I wouldn't mind if they just disagreed it's more the fact they have to call me crazy and flame me lol. Just my thoughts on the guy and yet it makes fans of the team mad. crazy

Daniels, Goff, and Stroud are probably up for a bit of debate. Purdy too.

This debate would have to be tape-based and context heavy, though, because the box score stats would corroborate that stance. I'm not sure the film would, entirely.

Dude Welshers does this every time and his point was crazy. You guys shit on Purdy yet he’s pressured at a much higher rate. People see what they want to see and ignore what they want to.

Lol oh wow he has a lot of yards throwing. MVP!!!!!!!!! Ur trolling bro.
You don't have to call everyone with a different opinion a troll. The point is he's doing it with this O-line. Respectfully disagree sure but you dont have to be a jerk about it.

In no universe is Geno better than Purdy.

ok my bad but many Geno apologists use the line argument for Geno and ignore it for Purdy.

Is he? Geno has significantly more pressured throws than Purdy. 56 to 39

Per PFR, Purdy faces a slightly higher pressure rate, however this is deceptive.

Also per PFR, Purdy enjoys a 2.8s pocket time vs 2.3s pocket time for Geno. Pocket time is the average time in seconds to either the throw or pressure collapsing the pocket - whichever comes first.

2.8s is the longest avg. pocket time in the NFL. Meanwhile, only 4 QBs in the NFL have less than 2.3s.

Sounds like he's pressured more because he gets to hold the ball for almost 3 seconds on average, while Geno is pressured less because he has to hot potato the rock to avoid getting his clock cleaned.
