I look at all the turmoils the Raiders are dealing with concerning him, now if he came here how much it would be about him and not about us as far as team speak goes, resign our own guys, if you trade trade for someone wanting to be be here, not someone that has talent but will settle to be here.

Love the player, but trading a ton of draft capital and then having to pay the player a monster contract almost never works out. Not interested in those type of deals anymore.

There are exceptions , but I value your opinion. One thing is we don’t have a ton of draft capital and we (more than likely) are not going to have top 20 picks for at least a few years to come. If the Raiders would take the 32nd pick and 64th for an all world pass rusher like pass Crosby, it would be hard to not entertain.

And I know he just won the MVP, and I love him, but the general consensus is that RB’s are not terribly difficult to replace. Signing a cheaper RB and using Walker money as seed money for Crosby could be an option.

Whatcha mean?

Everything I’ve ever heard about Crosby is he is a consummate team player who works incredibly hard. The dude has had 6 head coaches (including interim) since entering the league and the team is owned by a complete moron. Any turmoil the Raiders are dealing with is 100% organizationally self inflicted.

If there is any place a world class competitor who has only known the frustrations of losing would like to be, Seattle has to be on the top of that list

It will be a media circus just like there, not Crosby but the media, the guy just wants to play, media making his life hell as well as the Raiders right now. Adams and Harvinisque type situation.

Reading multiple places he's very partial to NE... don't know why, those losers of SB.

For your perusal: Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby underwent successful surgery in early January 2026 to repair a left knee meniscus issue he played with for roughly 14 weeks

Name one of the big trades where we gave away picks and players that didn't cost us in the draft and financially put the team in rough shape.

2021-2022 (Jamal Adams): Traded 2021 and 2022 1st-round picks (along with others) to the Jets for safety Jamal Adams, whom they paid a huge contract, much more than other defensive players. He then got injured.

In the 2021 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks notoriously bypassed center Creed Humphrey in the second round (56th overall) to select wide receiver D'Wayne Eskridge, who, much like Penny and Prosise...well, you get the picture. The point? That you cannot just replace a Pro Bowl running back and Superbowl MVP with any RB.

In 2018 the Seahawks picked Rashad Penny in the 1st round, who much like CJ Prosise, spent much of his career on IR.

in 2015 the Seahawks traded away their Center, Max Unger and a 1st round pick for Jimmy Graham, who got injured after signing a huge contract. Pete promised that Jimmy would learn to block..he never did.

In March 2013, the Seattle Seahawks acquired WR Percy Harvin from the Minnesota Vikings for a significant package, including the 2013 1st-round pick, a 7th-round pick in 2013, and a 3rd-round pick in 2014. Percy was paid way more than any other WR in Seattle and caused a huge rift in the team.

Injuries limited Percy Harvin to one regular season game, where he miraculously healed for the game against the Vikings, then another miraculous recovery for the Superbowl where he ended up punching Golden Tate the night before the game. Tate left the next season. Eventually Percy was traded for a 7th round pick, and the Seahawks were stuck with a lot of dead money.

2006 (Deion Branch): Traded the 2006 1st-round pick (24th) to the New England Patriots for WR Deion Branch. We gave him a huge contract, when we had just paid Houshmanzadeh a lot of money. Deion Branch blew out his knee and was never the same.

1977 (Tony Dorsett): Traded the 2nd overall pick to Dallas, allowing them to draft Hall of Famer Tony Dorsett.

The Seahawks trading away players for picks: (The team that gets rid of a player and receives picks almost always has the last laugh.)

2000/2001 (Joey Galloway): Traded WR Joey Galloway to Dallas for two 1st-round picks, used to select Shaun Alexander and André Carter.

Russell Wilson and a 4th-round pick to the Denver Broncos for a massive package, including two 1st-round picks, two 2nd-round picks, a 5th-round pick, and players Drew Lock, Noah Fant, and Shelby Harris. Seattle utilized these picks to draft core players: LT Charles Cross (2022), OLB Boye Mafe (2022), CB Devon Witherspoon (2023), and OLB Derick Hall (2023)
