You are the most biased person on here. JJ was a scheme QB on a dominant Michigan team. He wasn’t worth a 1st round last year and he won’t be worth more this year.
I may be biased but that doesn't mean I'm wrong. There are a lot of NFL Professionals (players/sportswriters) that disagree with your assessment:

JJ's NFL debut:

Bill Belichick on McCarthy at 1:50:

You seem to be the one that's biased, irrationally biased against him. I'll go with what Belichick says instead of anonymous internet guy.

Adam Schefter seems to think otherwise and I think he knows a little more about NFL QB talent than you do.

Adam Schefter isn't known for his evaluation of players, he's known for Breaking News and reporting on the NFL so take his wrong opinion however you like, McCarthy still wouldn't be a Top 5 pick in this weak class.

No thanks. I like my quarterbacks to have fully intact knees. I've seen enough tape on him. He's Zach Wilson 2.0
Zach looked good in Payton’s offense in the pre season. IMHO in the right system, he could be Darnold 2.0

As I said he's a professional, a trained sportswriter, who's been working in the NFL for more than 20 years analyzing, evaluating, interviewing and writing about the athletes in the league. He's sat down with many HOF players, HOF coaches and league officials. I doubt you have anything near the same amount of knowledge or understanding about the league.

I thought both Wilson and Darnold were both capable outside of the Jets. Neither elite but actual nfl talent.

Wilson would be more of an interesting backup than Howell.

You have one data point and you’ll beat it to death. No one gives a shit about Schectfers opinion.

What's wrong with being a Penix fan? He's a fricken beast.
Not saying there's anything wrong with Penix, but Freshbox was dissing McCarthy because he injured his knee. My point was most people around here would not consider that a reason not to draft/trade for Penix.
