Should the Seahawks trade Jalen Milroe?

Let’s just throw out a hypothetical scenario for the ground works on this poll/discussion:

Miami offers pick #75 (third round) for Jalen Milroe. Should Schneider pull the trigger and make it happen?

I said Not really.

Mainly 'cause Jalen Milroe by himself won't fetch us much in return.

We will need to add a bit more.

His forgettable (and at times, disastrous) outings whenever he was brought into the game by Kubiak earlier this past season didn't help his image.

Maybe some GM out there will blame Kubiak for putting him in that position and could offer us the moon for him but chances are they will want more in addition to Jalen.

I’ll post my opinion on here: I voted “yes, make it so”

Reason being, I believe that we drafted Milroe for the “just in case” Darnold completely flopped, we’d have another option to turn to, after Drew Lock of course.

Now that Darnold has cemented himself as a Superbowl champion, who propelled the team in the NFCCG, I highly recommend we make the trade. Milroe offers the team little value on the bench, his trick plays got scrapped early on, and quite frankly, I wasn’t that impressed with his speed in the pre season against other team’s backups.

I say they get a third, and use that to get someone to make a more immediate impact on next year’s team while we still have the open window.

Took the last option. Sorry, Steve. ;)

If we could get a decent return I would definitely entertain the idea. We are short on draft capital this year and I would love another mid round pick, if we could get it.

Just takes one team. Send us a 3rd........

Ok Montana, let's bet a pint. I say they get at LEAST a 5th for him. I've won several bets over the years, someday someone will pay up :)

No. You draft a guy to develop, and you stick with the plan to develop him. Cutting bait early is what makes it a wasted pick. In a similar manner, the Vikings cut bait with Sam before McCarthy was ready.

We knew was raw coming in, and Kubiak did him no favors. I think we can’t make a call on his potential until his third preseason.

Here and there
I noticed if you click on the choices, it shows who voted for what. Is that supposed to be? I assumed polls would always be anonymous. Just curious, is all.

Yes, it allowed an option to show who voted for which option, so I selected that option. Would you rather I turn that off?

Look at Malik Willis. Probably more buzz about him than any other free agent this year. Darnold should have proven that it can take years of development to make it in the NFL.

We finally drafted a QB -- and one who has an incredible upside. But Slingin Sammy D is still young and isn't going anywhere and Lock is a competent backup. So, i'm trading Milroe only if someone blows us away with an offer, which I doubt will happen.
