8-3. Garbage time TD's don't impress me. I know who controlled that game. Yet again. Until they actually blow one, NOT a Pete team.
This is who they are and how they play, whether we like it or not. Is it maddening, absolutely. But they get the job done. They have controlled MOST of their wins this year and have been ahead in MOST of their wins this year. This is a point I've made several times and rightfully been told I don't need to 778 times. Feels like I do though :)
(lighten up, it's a joke)

Go Hawks
What about also Special Teams giving up a TD that shouldn't have been given up?

How many times does that actually happen?

Reality is that our actual Defense gave up just 10 points when the game was still in doubt.

They lost at home last season to the Vikings. They had that game in hand too until the defense stopped playing toward the end, IIRC. Jefferson ended up over 140 yards receiving and 2 TDs. Although, this season's Vikings are nowhere near last year's team so it should be an easier path to a win.
Who is throwing him the ball this year?

Certainly not THIS guy :

Didn’t see this posted in the forum; Vikings confirmed he is in the protocol but unclear which play was responsible.

Hasn’t been ruled out for Seattle on Sunday but if he is then we would see 3rd stringer Max Brosmer. This would ease any concerns Seattle have of potentially being down both Love and Ty this week.
Id get a concussion too - if I had to play the Seahawls D.

The independent medical examiner was having mercy on J.J. when he placed him in concussion protocol. There was no hit on him, but he was playing all game like he had a concussion.

(I know we shouldn't joke about this, but I couldn't help it.)

J.J. was benched earlier in the year for a supposed injury and I wouldn't be surprised if this concussion is due to his play on the field. Could be a rest of year concussion if Brosmer is competent.

Wouldn't shock me if McCarthy is done for the season with this 'concussion'. Probably the worst QB in the league given the weapons he has.

I would rather play McCarthy a known player then one pulled out of the woodpile, we always struggle and I say always going way back against backups for some reason. Besides it's the Vikings, they are sneaky and lie a lot about stuff. Still not over the Poison Pill or them being where we got Bevell.

I didn't realize it until just now that the concussion was self-reported by McCarthy after his return to Minnesota. He says he started feeling sick on the plane flight home.

Minnesota media is reporting that it is the "get out of jail free" card that O'Connell has been looking for, a chance to bench McCarthy without admitting failure.

Again - this guy wants no part of getting yeeted through the goalposts by this Seahawks pass rush.

Fake concussion is about self-preservation. He better preserve his brain-pan because he is going to need for his next job - probably selling insurance.

Although we often find ways to make backups look all pro. It’s a culture.
That WAS true back when Pete Carroll was at the helm, now? with MM drivin' the boat, the monkey is off our back and OUR backup defenders are looking more like "all pro's". ;-)

Would be nice for Darnold to get to go against his replacement in Minnesota. Not that he has any real reason to be upset with the Vikings, but I want to see McCarthy in just to rub it in their faces further.

Completely agreed. The Minnesota YouTube crowd is actually excited to see Brosmer. Not just to get McCarthy off the field, but he may be a cerebral sneaky good QB with physical limitations (e.g., Purdy). They’re just annoyed that they’re going to get their first chance to see him against this defense.
