A lot of people here are saying that Lynch didn't get many carries strictly because of St. Louis stacking the box, the running game's early failures, or down and distance issues. I challenge you to rewatch the game, because these are all wrong. I was set to buy these explanations at first, but I rewatched the game on NFL Rewind, and there's no way they're right.

Turbin was getting carries on first and second down in the first half. Turbin was getting Lynch's carries even though Lynch was well rested. Something weird was going on, whether Lynch was injured, being punished for assignment failures early, or being punished for flipping off Bevell last week. Carroll sat with Lynch on the plane ride home, so I don't think it was an injury. Something was going and we can only speculate about what it was.

Turbin's a little quicker to the hole, so I imagine Bevell and Pete were just trying to switch things up because NOTHING was working. To see if Turbin could hit the hole a little faster, problem was there were no holes to hit.

Pete doesn't hold grudges like some coaches, there's no way he'd bench Lynch for some of the extraneous stuff you're talking about.

That was something I wondered as well. I hope there isn't a rift between Bevell and Lynch

The play calling makes sense if Marshawn is hurt and they were giving him a light load.

I was wondering if he may have been hurting some. We were seeing Turbin more than usual as well as less of Lynch. With no o-line our run game was pretty much Wilson running for his life instead.I think we see tons of Lynch this weekend and he will be on fire.
