Not directly Seahawks related. And how often do Intradivisional trades happen?

Not likely going to happen, as the trade deadline was yesterday.

We couldn't absorb that cap hit either, although I would say Fitz would kick ass in this offense.

He's not getting any younger. Wonder how big of a paycut he would take to have a chance at a ring. I don't think we would sign him though. But I would love to be wrong.

Not very often at all. But for the right price who knows. I personally wouldn't mind giving up our 1st round draft pick to get him. We find most of our gem players in the later rounds anyways.

I want to see what Harvin does to our offense first. I also think with all the offensive line problems and potential cap casualties coming up that draft picks will be a premium over the next two years. I don't see the Hawks making that trade.

Official according to who? Trade deadline has passed, and I don't see it being reported anywhere. Cards are still very much alive for a playoff birth, so there is really no reason for them to make a statement like that now.

There has been talk of them trading him after the season is over to which is what I was referring to.

Dudes, I would love Wilson to Fitz, I just can't see it happening though.

To the Pats would make a lot of sense, need to provide Brady with something out wide and Wilfork and his huge salary could be gone (I like him, he was a beast for years but his size/age and that injury is a tough one). Pats have a tiny window left really until it's game over for them.

Being "open" to trade certainly hints at release or restructure after this season, just like Anquan Boldin this past Spring.

If he's willing to sign cheap, I'm sure Seattle would be interested. Rice is almost guaranteed to be released this offseason, and Seattle would be looking for a similar type of player to replace. We can't afford Fitzgerald's current contract, but he's playing far below that pay level anyway which is why he's going to be available. Should be interesting. Seattle could cut Rice and pay Fitz 1 year $8 million and still come close to breaking even cap wise.

Trade the best player on a team to a divisional rival... I don't see that happening. The trade deadline passing is relevant for this year but with Fitz's multi-year contract they could easily gauge the market and deal him in between. I don't see him going to Seattle though... no way Arizona cuts their own throat dealing him here without some sort of a deal that would hamstring us.

Before Fitz signed the contract I thought it was a bad move if you want to build a team. No WR is worth 15m a year, I don't care who he is. Before he signed the contract I would have tried to trade him for a collection if draft picks, not worth as much now. The contract is crippling the Cards salary cap wise

I beg to differ. I think most teams would jump at the chance to pay Megatron 15M a year to play for them.
