HmmmmmmDave Softy Mahler @Softykjr
Gary Payton just told us he's planning on meeting with Chris Hansen tomorrow over dinner. "We're going to talk about a lot of things."

Anyone in addition to BillHawks going to the rally on Thursday? I'll be there. Have to figure out a way out of work. But I'll be there. Wearing either a green Kemp or white Payton jersey.
Did any of you guys listen to the head of the Seattle Times editorial staff on with Brock and Salk yesterday? Wow. Talk about smug and arrogant. At one point she condescended, "We're just asking the questions no one else is. Somebody has to act like adults." It's a good listen. Salk and Brock give it to her pretty good, considering the need to be civil. My favorite part was when she was blathering on about how there is no guarantee that the revenue will be there to pay off the bonds. About how government programs are in trouble because their revenue projections were off. Brock replied, “How are the Safeco and Qwest Field bonds doing?” She says, “Oh, uh, uh. I am not familiar with those details.” Salk quickly chimes in, “Ahead of schedule.” Yeah. Exactly.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- That dateline should have been SEATTLE. The backdrop to the start of the NBA Finals should have been the Space Needle and ferries gliding across the Puget Sound, not trains rumbling past brick warehouses and off into the plains. For those reasons, if anyone’s due for a karmic comeuppance in this series it’s the owners of the Thunder, not the star player of the Heat.
