Great news! Hopefully now we stop hearing the ridiculous, "What if Chris Hansen goes bankrupt" questions from the council members. This should go a long way in really legitimizing this with the community. And not just here, but with the NBA. Steve Ballmer is someone David Stern would very much like to be in business with.

And Xavier McDaniel is flat out the man. Dude brought it. Wish he could do this to Clay Bennett:

Chris Hansen's letter announcing Ballmer and Nordstrom to city and county councils:

http://www.king5.com/news/arena/Hansen- ... 85985.html

These three gentlemen, like me, are committed to operating the arena and NBA franchise in a way that represents and upholds the values of our community. They appreciate the role the Sonics played in this community for more than 40 years and see this project as an opportunity to bring that civic asset back to our community. They also understand the unique ability of professional basketball to positively affect urban youth. Their participation in the ownership group brings added assurances the business will always be backed by strong local hands and reinforces my commitment that the team will never again leave Seattle.

Stern said yesterday that the NBA "FAILED" by not getting a solution in Seattle. There's people who fear Seattle being a Kansas City, having an arena ready, but not being able to get a team. That's ridiculous. 41 years of history proving the market and owners like this? Stern won't be able to say no. This thing seriously needs to pass! If you can, get your ass to that rally tomorrow! Go Supes!

how the bleep can the nba turn that down if they do they are just morons and that is the clean version.

Its not the NBA we're worried about, its the city council.

Failed would be like they tried and it just didn't work out, that piece of crap flat out screwed us clearly and on purpose.

But if he wants to act like it was a failure to save face now while starting the process of getting us another team so be it.

Occupy Seattle is indicating that they're going to try and crash the Bring 'em Back Shindig tomorrow... Those of you who are going and I might be, don't do nothing stupid no matter how wrong they are.

I expect there to be pictures of the shin dig. Let the entire six of them protest. Drown out their negative crap with how much you want it. Unfortunately those idiots don't realize that this will create jobs (you know, for people who don't have some). I wish I could be there.

For what purpose?

I'm one who generally agrees with the sentiment of that movement, but it appears it has largely devolved into attention grabbing nonsense.

My question is how in the hell can the city and county turn this deal down. If they do i have to believe they are the biggest bunch of idiots i have ever seen. Jesus if it where me its a no brainer. Oh and too the occupy ppl dude its over. We understood the message when it first hit. But if u need to crash this rally to bring back jobs and the wealth of money too the city. Your just butthats at this point.
