Are the 12's going for the record again?

Volume 12 posted on Facebook that Guinness is not coming back for this game.

But they posted that a few weeks ago, so maybe that could change.

But as of a couple weeks ago, there is not going to be a World Record attempt Monday Night.

I don't care anymore. Having a record change of this nature (vs something like a 100m dash record) change hands multiple times in one year makes it lose its meaning. I mean sure I'd like to have the record back, but give KC at least a year to enjoy it. Hell honestly Guinness Book should NEVER have even let them go for it so soon after we just set it. Records are meant to be broken, but if they're broken over and over again in the same year, people just stop caring.

It's a pointless record anyway. Any large group of people can make a ridiculous amount of noise for a short amount of time when prompted to. What makes 12's and the Clink special is that this fan base is organically loud at the appropriate times all game, every game. It's not about a useless number in a book no one reads anymore. It's about giving our team every bit of homefield advantage possible, and there's no way to measure that with a number.
