I am going to be fully transparent. I didn't love Nick Emmanowari in the first round. When I was watching N.E, the weaknesses were obvious. He was somewhat of a project as a FS or SS. He is still raw when it comes to processing in the pass game and run game. In simple words, you can confuse him if you throw too many things at him.
Now, where I am excited after doing a review of him again is that Macdonald is going to have a lot of fun in nickel and dime packages. Especially in dime packages. Can you imagine Witherspoon and Emmanowori in the slot?
I actually think Emmanowori's biggest strengths right now are the ability to trail in coverage and cover from depth. Not depth as FS or SS back deep. I'm talking about man-to-man or match cover 2/3/4/6. Those things Emmanowori is going to make the biggest difference. He is able to match up with WRs and TEs. He is going to help take away crossers.
This is going to be the death star package. You have Love and Bryant back deep. You have Witherspoon and Emmanowori buzzing underneath. You keep Ernest in.
