Given the surprising (at least to me) rotation of people active versus inactive between the two playoff games, who do you think will be in street clothes for the game? Does Carp make the cut like he did for the NFCC game? I know some people at the time were saying he was active because he was a better matchup. Any thoughts on the OL-DL matchups with the Broncos?

At today's presser, Pete hinted heavily that Carp and McQ will continue to rotate at LG.

I think they went with Bowie vs. New Orleans because he's more athletic and gets to the second level better and is a much better pass protector. Carp is more of a mauler and is bigger and won't get pushed around as much and thus he would be better vs. people like Justin Smith on SF's line.

It's really amazing and speaks to Tom Cable's job on this team that they can keep plugging in different offensive linemen and not lose a step. I think Carp plays in the SB due to his experience and also "Pot Roast" McKnighton who is like 400 pds.

I'm sure pot roast will get tired out with the way we are going to run the ball down their throats. I expect a lot of blitzing and for them to put 8 in the box to stop lynch but we will still push them around.

Knighton's listed at ~335 lbs., but I'm pretty sure he's much closer to ~360.

Yea, I think thats why we will see a lot of Big Carp. God damn that is going to be a lot of beef smashing together.

The way pass rushers have blown past them all year long, I don't think they have a step to lose. My dead grandma could pass pro better than these guys. It'd be nice if they GAINED a step.

OL Alvin Bailey (16 snaps) replaced TE Kellen Davis ( 2 snaps) as the tackle eligible preference in last Sunday's match up.

Bailey played well. It will be interesting to see what is planned for the Broncos.

Bailey performed very well against the niners, dude looked huge and quick. He single handedly took out the best linebackers in the NFL, it was like engulfed them. Would love to see more of that.

I'm gonna love seeing Russ do his Houdini routine with these D lineman of Denver. I can see read option, naked bootlegs, Russ rolling in the pocket to buy time, and wearing out that line. Make them look silly, those folks that think he's "sort of like Tebow".

I say keep Bailey and Carpenter active for sure. Bailey for the Jumbo package and Carpenter to go head up with Pot roast. I think it would be a toss up with McQuistan and Bowie for the last active spot but I would roll with Bowie more athletic.
