By rule each RB- Akers and CB- Hall revert to the PS.

Shout out to Hall for that blitz hit on Purdy near the end of the game. Still unsure about Akers and don’t really know what the penalty was for on the opening kickoff.

Updated.

Making moves in the playoff time gets a little harder. Let's say the Seahawks try to get Arroyo or Holani back. (Those two seem like the only possibilities). If they waive a younger guy on the roster who's normally inactive (say Mason Richmond) any team can claim that contract off waivers even if that team is out of the playoffs. That would prevent us from having that player back to the practice squad. The only way to really keep a player in the building is to waive a guy who's on an expiring contract. Here's my list of guys who are on expiring contracts who wouldn't be claimed by another playoff team.

Bobo, Pili, Russell, Young.

Having the bye week will make those decisions a little easier as only 7 other teams will be playing by the time we have to decide.

I really want Arroyo back as we just need another legit offensive weapon. Horton would have been awesome to bring back but sounds like it's not happening.

Yep, one that was born in Pasadena and raised in Canada after my parents divorced. So while a Canuck in residence I am one that was born in the USA, and very loyal.

Which would be the death nail in the minuscule chance of Horton returning, correct?

Coach already said a few weeks ago that Horton was not likely to return this season but we do have one slot remaining in case Holani can make it back.

Some might say that not having to worry about these things at this point in the season is a blessing. Not me tho! I will not be The Jinx. I wish I had that much control over the Universe, but I do not.

It's still a bit weird to me that we only have one WR, though he is LIGHTS OUT. And I understand that JSN is the man, and it's otherwise about running the ball and tight ends.

SF is tore up from the floor up. Good luck suckas!

What I like about this team right now is depth, we are not rushijng guys onto the field, we are making sure they are sound. We have been winning and not struggleing to do so due to loss at positions. If we bring someone back they will be ready and noty a threat to play like I think they will try to do with Warner.

If they're going to activate Arroyo for the weekend I think they'll place someone on waivers today. Speculation only.

New Charles Cross contract from Overthecap.

1768404930264

Cap in 2026 is a reduction from his previous 5th year option, so we get short term cap savings. The more I look at it, the more I like the deal.

Also from OTC:

Charles Cross signed a four year, $104.4 million contract extension with the Seahawks on January 7, 2026. $75 million is guaranteed of which $57.44 million is a new money guarantee. Cross' 2026 salary is fully guaranteed and he received a $25 million signing bonus. If on the roster on the 5th day following the 2027 Super Bowl, Cross' 2027 salary will be fully guaranteed. $16.94 million, including an $8 million option, becomes fully guaranteed in 2028. The contract has annual per game bonuses worth $1.02 million per year and $350,000 in annual workout bonuses. There are two void years added to the contract for salary cap purposes.

Curious, why today and not tomorrow? I’d think they’d let him get his three days of practice in before waiving anyone.

My theory is Dareke Young gets waived ... clears waivers and then is activated from the PS for Saturday. Yeah, they could do it tomorrow, true.
