Totally agree!

I'm just happiest when the D kicks rears and takes names. Yet it is a whole team working together that creates a winning team.

Must say save for the experienced BIG OL' space eater NT the roster look to be quite complete.
I agree with Pete Jarren Reed is going to be great at NT! Reed thought he could play 3 Tech & he thought he was going to get paid playing 3 Tech.

If we get Jamal going we could be great again.

The Seahawks re-sign ILB- Ben Burr-Kirven; numbers now are a full 90 man roster.

Updated.

Is it safe to assume that’s a full roster with Witherspoon? Technically he’s unsigned so I assume officially he’s not counting yet but he’s not going anywhere so it’s safe to count him.

Yes my friend, I have assumed each of the draft picks are part of the 90 man roster though technically all the team has are the rights to Witherspoon for the year after drafting him.

The roster payout situation with him will eventually be resolved though I don’t see the genuine advantage to the player in taking the money now as it would be undoubtedly subject to significant taxes owing. I can’t see how the player is helping himself by not practicing though.

Seems to me the agent would be the real winner not the player. However as has been observed a dollar today is worth more than a dollar next year.

Looking at the roster critically the team is going to have quite a few difficult decisions getting down to 53.

There is quite a bit of talent on the team, and more than a few hoped for developmental players. Making the team will be very hard at quite a few positions with good players being sacrificed for weakness at other positions.

Let’s hope the herd on PUP thins significantly soon or some very hard choices may need to be made eventually.

The team is actually practicing with 84 players several fo whom are key positional players and of them there are a few that are not going full speed with hamstrings and other recovering injuries being dealt with to get them up to speed.

Reality is this is pretty normal and it is early days presently so we hope to see Woolen and a few others ripping things up soon.

Cooper is that really BIG DUDE everyone has been thinking we needed.

Perhaps there was some attitude adjustment needed thus causing his recent cut. Hope he is here to stay this time.

From the linked article >>>

"Unfortunately, Cooper battled through a shoulder injury during his final season with the Seminoles, limiting him to just 19 tackles even though he managed to start all 13 games playing through pain. He underwent surgery after the conclusion of the season, which prevented him from working out at the combine or Florida State's pro day in the pre-draft process.

Going undrafted, Cooper quickly latched on with the Seahawks and participated in the team's annual rookie minicamp. But with him still trying to work back from surgery and not in top shape, the team waived him on May 23 to open up a spot for veteran cornerback Artie Burns to return on a one-year deal.

Passing his physical and impressing at his workout on Monday, Cooper will now re-enter the competition at nose tackle, ....... "

With the recent announcement of the six game suspension of WR- D’Wayne Eskridge For domestic violence I will now show him as suspended although he will remain eligible for the preseason games. Those games might well be his last as a Seahawks player so he will need to show something as his career is hanging on tenuously.

Sadly he has not shown much more than an inability to play for one reason or another. Although undoubtedly he is a talented player his unavailability makes his roster spot now somewhat uncertain.

Anderson was one of 2 UDFAs to get a $15,000 signing bonus, so he would have been like an 8th round draft pick.

Good news to have Woolen practicing! Will be interesting to see how that shakes up the CB rotation. Lots of depth there, but history indicates we'll need it.

Perry was smart not to leave town after getting cut last week.
