Wonder if another camp arm will be brought in?

There is an open spot and this time of year is the busy time for JS as players usually are added and subtracted with frequency.

Rather clearly it appears the team likes the QB they drafted and maybe by subtracting Morris they can give more reps to McGough.

That's what I'm thinking. PC said he was the biggest surprise in mini-camp so I'm thinking the only competition he has is Davis.

Wilson the starter, McGough the Future either Starter in the event we don't choose to pay 30 million plus for Wilson, we will have to see his skill set in live games but on paper or future back up. Davis current back up.

Since it is a new system with different calls and options with motion and all that if Schotty holds true and Pete doesn't undermine him, but using the basic same play type philosophy. All three of these guys will need to get as many reps as they can, Davis has played in it before so that will help.

Did Troy Williams get released as well?
IIRC, he came and left with a very large group of try out candidates.

He was not offered a contract.

Thanks Jville, interesting addition, the competition at TE this year will be strong.

Updated now.

Bio:
Three-year starter who was named Honorable Mention All-MAIA and caught 19 passes for 166 yards and one touchdown as a senior. Made 24 receptions for 222 yards and two TDs in 2016. Named Honorable Mention All-MAIA and made 32 catches for 275 yards and three scores as a sophomore.
Pos:
Nice-sized tight end with next-level measurables. Bends his knees, plays with leverage and quickly releases off the line into pass routes. Plays to his 40 time, follows the quarterback across the field and works to make himself an available target. Nicely adjusts to errant throws and makes receptions with his hands away from his frame.
Neg:
Was never a dominant blocker at the small-school level. Turned in pedestrian production.
Analysis:
At face value, Wilson possesses the size, athleticism and pass-catching skills to play at the next level, but he needs a lot of work on his game. He comes with terrific upside and should be given practice-squad consideration this fall.

Also played FB.

There should now be little doubt the TE is going to be big part of the run game blocking.

I predict lots of 2 TE sets, several these UDFA players are both TEs and sometime FBs, and the FBs are very versatile and able to play in more than one position. If nothing else there will be one or two kept as PS developmental prospects.

Chris, Thanks for posting that Bio on this player.

I will update on WR/PR- Keenan Reynolds when the signing becomes formal.

Would make a very cool return specialist. I like his sub 6 foot size. Reynolds finished his college career with 64 rushing touchdowns for the Midshipmen. He also was the NCAA's all-time leader in rushing yards for a QB.

Think maybe they are addressing proposed changes to kickoff rules? Could be exciting.

EDIT: ......... [tweet]https://twitter.com/RapSheet/status/996921395715198976[/tweet] ..... Nicolas ruptured his patellar tendon in Week 17 of 2016. Six foot three with thirty four and three quarter arm length and ten and three quarters hands ..... kind of KJ Wright like numbers ........ John and Pete have been active with roster churn today.

I’m going to add both Keenan Reynolds and Dadi Nicola to the roster as both local and national urces say they have sikgned. The numbers are wrong and there will need to be 2 roster deletions to compensate.
