This account has 365k followers including most major sports figures. And what he posted here is demonstrable fake news, and the ongoing guidance is to label it as such, so I have.

The time stamps within this thread alone verify Russell had joined cameo before being reassigned to qb3 but most people seeing that would take it as good faith. At the margins, it’s not clear what is fake news to the average layperson who usually is depending with good faith on media accounts like this. Which would be the majority. I’m not sure how you’d prevent them from quoting it in good faith.

Well, we know that Russ did not join cameo as a reaction to his qb3 demotion. Russell may have had another reason for signing on before, and I’m not sure what it is yet.

Russell could easily declare that all monies spent toward his videos would be a direct deduction to his why not you foundation. The client not only gets a video but a receipt for a tax deductible donation. This is actually not just a win win but an example to other participating nfl athletes who don’t need the few hundred dollars themselves. Idk why he isn’t promoting his cameo that way.

Only way I'd pay $300 to hear a hoot from him, is to use monopoly money!
What a disgrace.

Only $333 to get a 40s personalized video from Russ!

Just $29,970 per hour (marked down from $30,000).

I wonder if anyone is enough of a troll to spend $333 to ask him to record exactly the lines from those creepy Dangerwich commercials. Or word-for-word some of his affirmations from spring and summer of 2022 about his plans to win three or four more Super Bowls with the Broncos. Or just variations on "Broncos country - let's ride!"

Russ’ merging his cameo marketing with an appeal to his foundation would just make too much sense. It’s actually a great idea. The Christian McCaffrey Foundation could buy a lot more gaming consoles if Christian went on there for fundraising reasons. Same with Damar Hamlin. It would actually justify them charging above the market rate as it’s for the kids.

Few if any fans want Russ to the point this is inspirational.

Jameis is praising God louder in public than Russ ever did right now for being selected to start Sunday, and everyone who’s seen the shack where he grew up is praising with him. People are willing to forgive Jameis his mistakes in a way they’re not with Russ.

Nonprofit-wise, it would be savvy for Russ’ foundation to support a Jameis inspired project to save poor children from having to drink out of a garden hose after moving it away from where they peed. That would actually actualize some of the language on his own website. https://whynotyoufdn.org/impact. At least we’d have an indication of what exactly his foundation is doing for good.

I'd pay that for him to recite the Shakespear Sonnet 87 inspired poem by Gra Reformata, "The King of Fools":

He dreams he holds dominion over all
Fancies himself a king of everything
He thinks he’s climbed so high he cannot fall.

But it is not enough: he still is wanting,
Believes that all he does not own is taunting.

Despite his bluster, he is truly small,
And every insult he still feels the sting.
He dreams he holds dominion over all.

He makes himself a powerful illusion,
And blinds himself with his own daft delusion.

He gathered many fools under his thrall
And they kowtow before him, worshiping.
He thinks he’s climbed so high he cannot fall.

His flunkies flutter ‘round him, and they flatter,
For beauty, wealth, and power’s all that matters.

When love is weakness, love must be forestalled;
He makes the helpless into his playthings;
He dreams he holds dominion over all.

He claims that he is wise and good: holy;
That he is far above the poor and…

He will not bend, but someday he will crawl,
For everyone eats dirt, even a king.
He thinks he’s climbed so high he cannot fall.

How are we free behind a bound’ry wall?
How can we fly with one, and broken, wing?
He dreams he holds dominion over all.
He thinks he’s climbed so high he cannot fall.

And then he fell .

Well done!

Can someone pay 30k for him to say nothing for an hour?

Waltons/SPayton would have gladly spent that for the time during post-game press conferences.

I didn't even know what Cameo was until I read about it here. Nothing surprising about that, as I often find myself behind the culture curve on many things.

What a weird thing, though. There's something about it that seems "hard-up" to me.

He’s already on the board of churchome, founded in Seattle. It was sued two years ago for making workers give back 10 percent of their earnings as a tithe.

Church should have 20 mil from Russ alone on that. Justin Bieber is a member too.
What? Never heard of any of this. But as a Christian that he claims to be, I will never forget when he announced to the public, as Christians, that he and Ciarra would be abstinent until they were married, then announced she was pregnant, well before the marriage. Now it may not mean anything to most of you, but it tells other folks that he was dishonest.

As Russell's career comes to a close, I hope that our fan base can forgive him for some of the mistakes he's made, like lying to us about his intentions, lobbying to get Pete fired, going on national TV and throwing his OL under the bus ("I'm getting hit too much.") etc. He also has a lot of human flaws, like being a camera hog, makes cringy remarks, can exhibit a very dishonest and patronizing personality. Us 12's are very justified in booing him, rooting against him, referring to him in some very uncomplimentary terms as we have over the past few years. He's deserved every negative comment we've made towards him.

But there are worse people on this planet. He didn't rape anybody's daughter or mug someone's grandma. Personally, if I'm in the crowd when they induct him into our ROH, I won't cheer madly because he's a long way from being one of my favorite Hawks. Rather, I'll stand and politely applaud, as one might do for a conductor of an orchestra. I hope that my friends in this forum will do the same. After all, he was a major part of our only Lombardi and a major player in the biggest era of Seahawk football in the history of our franchise.

Please don't interpret my remarks as a lecture. It's just my humble opinion.

I will always appreciate Wilson as a pillar of Pete's Super Bowl run.
I will also remember Wilson as the destruction force for Pete's Super Bowl run.

I wouldn't say that Russell was "the" destructive force for Pete's SB run. There were a lot of factors in the demise of the LOB, the failure of Russell to change his game to compensate for his diminishing mobility being one of them. For example, Russell's not the one who sold the farm for Jamal Adams.

I don't want him to be straight booed at his ROF induction, but I hope he gets very tepid applause that is absolutely dwarfed by the reception the other LOB-era guys get.

I also think he should be let in last among that group. It'd be even funnier if we're playing the Patriots that week.

We shall agree to disagree on this one :) The real key "destructor" was Pete himself, unfortunately, but I am a Pete Carroll fanboy, so I blame Wilson.
