Was it R rated though? lol I remember several extra good Friday's there for a while
I remember finding Aros's original site in late 99 (could that be correct?). Lurked for a long time as this was the best location to get most up-to-date stuff. Joined a couple years ago.
OMG that brings back so many memories. I remember wearing it out at a local bar for happy hour, and people were looking at me and trying to understand what that meant not living in Washington. Loved that shirt and really think the logo in green and blue looks fantastic!A true original! Good on ya! These shirts are RARE! This thread got me to take mine out of the drawer. Still like new condition! Only worn once by my dear late friend.

I remember that. Didn't the hawks send you a cease and desist or something when you took on seahawks.net? I think you had a poll at that time asking the base to weigh in on what domain to go with. Of couse, that's a bit ago, so I could be mis-remembering.Created in 1998. At the time I called it "Seahawks98.com", and the next year "Seahawks99.com" and quickly realized how silly that would be to constantly change domain names each year so did a little searching and lo and behold, "Seahawks.NET" was available! Snagged it instantly, much to the chagrin of the NFL, and the rest is history.
.NET actually started after the likes of seahawks98.com so Todd would have a consistent URL. It originally linked to the old Seahawks board connected to the AFC West War Zone. Again I’d need to check with Todd to see exactly when .net stopped being just a Seahawks news site and had its own forum. I’ve been here since before Todd ran the forum. It’s been quite a ride

OMG, I remember those Raider backgrounds. Woke up one April morning to log on and the whole site was done in black and silver.Oh man! I know I was very early 00 because at one point a pic of my baby daughter in a Seahawks cheer outfit was on the site. She will be 25 in a couple of months. So many fond memories. I'm mostly a lurker now. My favorite memories involved a raider April fools, alien stories, and Carson Palmers agent and our very own insider, Iss mannnnn, Harper rants, and the predictable bandwagon SOS derailments lol
Yes, I got a C&D letter FedEx'd to me to my place of employment at the time. The header had like hundreds of names in small print and the names were of all their lawyers for a nice little scare tactic. Well this David to their Goliath wasn't having it. They demanded I hand over the domain name since it had the trademarked name "Seahawks" in it. Little did they know that I understood internet/domain law at that time more than they did. It is not illegal to purchase a domain name that is trademarked. It's the entirety of the domain (as in "...com" or "....net", etc) that protected me then and protects the current owner of the domain to this very day.
That is why so many "cyber squatters" made tons of money in the early days of the Internet. They would buy up all these domain names and sit on them until offers by the cooperations would inevitably come in. "Seahawks" is trademarked. "Seahawks.NET" was not, which is why I was able to keep it and they left me alone, especially after I told them I would let them have it for 10 million bucks. Never heard back. LOL!
I did have to stop selling the Got Galloway shirts and take down my iteration of the logo as they called it dilution of logo and they DID have a legal leg to stand on, so I chose to pick my battles accordingly.
