K9 wasn't following BRussel like he did Outz...maybe a trust thing or maybe just different skill level at clearing space. K9 and Charbs have different skillsets but using them with specific plays only telegraphs to the D. Obviously 4th and 1 is a special situation. My point is, though, that the rungame, as a whole, requires more planning/set-up/adjustment than just the obvious. I think Charbs health and the change in FB required a lot of adjustment...more than anticipated. "Next man up" is great when it's great, but reality is those things require adjustment and both KK and the (young/new mix) OL are still figuring stuff out. Fortunate that the passgame and D picked up the slack. The measly yds/carry so far this season probably won't suffice throughout. However, the number of pass attempts is the way to fix it. It'll improve or It'll be the focus next off-season.
