That's because I know it sucks and doesn't work.
Ultimately the Packers are ran by a president , GM , head coach just like any other team. Ted Thompson didn't have to run shit by anyone.
I was just kidding. In some ways, they have a more corporate structure than any other NFL team. The NFL is a very nepotistic league, which does kind of annoy me. A bad owner can run a team into the ground for years with little to no accountability. We were lucky to have such a great owner in Paul Allen. I still lament the loss of him.

Just heard it on 710 ESPN. 4 year extension for John Schneider.

Seahawks To Extend GM John Schneider

July 30th, 2025 at 11:20am CST by Sam Robinson
The Seahawks moved John Schneider to the top of their personnel pyramid in 2024, firing Pete Carroll and giving their GM final personnel say. A year later, the team is extending its longtime front office boss.
Schneider and the Seahawks have agreed on a four-year extension, according to FOX’s Jay Glazer. The new deal will push Schneider’s contract through 2030. Schneider has been in place as Seattle GM since 2010. Were he to finish out this contract, the Super Bowl-winning decision-maker would become one of the longest-tenured GMs in NFL history.

Why not wait until at least mid-season to see how things are going? Jody jumped the gun, again.

Why not make a continuing effort to remain informed about the unfolding Seahawks story? There is mention of a contract trigger 5 minutes into the press conference posted below ........................

You got me and made me look like my crazy uncle 😆

I hate nepotism as well. Crazy (bad) owners are what make the league interesting at times like Jerruh Jones and the guy that used to own Washington.
Oh and the guy who owns Cleveland. And don't forget the foreigner who bought Jax.

I could keep going

It is crazy how bad John is at drafting O lineman. Remember the first two picks were Carpenter and Moffitt. He did get cross and Lucas right. God I hope Zabel and the guys really play well. Would be nice to have a 2005 type line.

JS has basically resurrected this team in 2 seasons with the coaching change being one of the most pivotal moves. But the personnel moves have all hit. He and his team of scouts have more than earned this extension.

Reading this thread and all of the griping about the oline was fun. Oh how times have changed with the OL. This team is built where it should be — in the trenches. Also kudos to the TEs for some key blocking yesterday.
