Lol
I'm not disagreeing but i'd still like to see that translate into wins before committing to 4 years. They did after all hire Grubb in the first place and im still in wait and see mode with the OL which has mostly always been a weakness under him.I respectfully disagree. When Dotson and Baker weren't working out, he piveted immediately and made the move for EJIV. That shows great communication between the HC and GM. Also, dropping Grubb as OC after 1 season and working with MM to find a run first OC. The days of throwing draft picks at a dart board to make trades during the season appear to be gone. We also took a good OL in the first round in forever. I am thrilled to have him extended.
I agree, and I think he's onto something there.Interesting comment
Source:Do you know this how?
GM salaries are not subject to the salary cap. Jody could fire him at any time. Don’t need contracts for admin or coaches to look like player contracts. Jody could pay him the equivalent of the team salary cap and it wouldn’t matter a bit in the overall team economics.Maybe it's a 1-year prove-it deal with 3 conditional team-option years. A 4-year guarantee for a GM of a franchise that doesn't win playoff games doesn't make any sense - unless you want to be the Giants.
Darnold and Kupp are effectively on 1-year prove-it deals. I don't see why this GM should be any different. If Darnold and Kupp end up being a waste of $55M then all 3 should be gone.
Dude, we just drafted Grey Zabel. We will never get a good offensive line
We know this. It isn't the issue. I don't care if Schneider is gifted $100M. It's whether Schneider having a 4-year contract is good for the franchise and it sets the right tone. If Schneider is sacked 1 year into a 4-year extension it means the next GM contract isn't worth a damn. That might impact who replaces him and how they approach the job. Equally it might not.GM salaries are not subject to the salary cap. Jody could fire him at any time. Don’t need contracts for admin or coaches to look like player contracts. Superbole.Hyperbole? I always wonder if I’m using that word right…
Agree and my take on this development indicates Jody has no intent to sell the team within the next four years.Jody obviously feels comfortable with JS, and it's probably nice for her to not to have think about making major organizational changes between now and whenever it is that the team is sold.
