Vrabel Coach of the Year, Vance Joseph Assistant Coach of the Year.

Again, these aren't the AP awards, which are typically talked about when you mention "Coach of the Year", but they often coincide.
Yep...that's why I put it in the title. Not a nothing burger and often translate to the AP...but not a given. Their voter bases share a lot of overlap.

So well deserved. The guy hasn't missed on much at all since assuming more power nearing the end of PC's tenure, and then assuming full control over personnel decisions after he left. I think this was a bit of an accumulative award, rather than a one season thing...

--The RW trade
--The recent drafts
--The MM hire
--The Darnold signing
--The Sheed trade
--Etc...

...all leading to this remarkable season. Can't see how anyone could much argue with the choice.

I'm hoping Mac still makes a good run at the Coach award. I assume Kubiak isn't beating out Joseph.

Always wonder what made him evolve. 2010-2012 where some of the best drafts ever but he had some brutal ones like 2013, 2021 and some not so great ones in between. 2022 onwards has been nails. Was it the approach to scouting? I know some will say Pete but Pete was here for 2022 and 2023

Jody gave John Schneider control around that time.

God, I'm surprised it wasn't Brandon Beane. Did you know that the Bills would have won the Super Bowl this year if it wasn't for Sean McDermott holding Beane back?

Funny - did you see the press conference where their owner described all the success they've had over the last six years, and how they couldn't have done that without a great organization and great players? (you left out 'great head coach', dumbass).

BINGO!!

Pete was good when the talent he was picking from the draft he played with or against in college and knew of it.

Once he was removed from the college world for a while the quality of drafted dropped immensely.

Once JS was given the reigns by Jody our drafts started hitting more frequently. Johns scout team did great work and He himself I have no doubt follows college pretty close as well.

I know you said "Etc" but it deserves adding the Leonard Williams and Ernest Jones trades. Absolutely transformative to this defense and they were risky. If JS failed to follow through and get them re-signed, he would have been giving up a second-rounder each for a half-season rental. Instead, well, we're the #1 defense in 2025.
