Love this dude. I never heard him speak to this live, only in print.

Will say it again, integrity, respect and gratitude are characteristics you don't often see when talking about transitions in relationships, whether personally or professionally.

As much as folks like to characterize the DK and Geno trade as quasi F you moves, they were anything but that. John will try to make something work with the guys that he wants to keep and if he can't, he will make the tough call.

Turns out his counter moves in both cases were masterstrokes.

I think it was pretty clear that the Seahawks weren't in a position to pay either guy what they wanted, especially Geno at his age.

What cracked me up was John saying the DK move worked out well for Pittsburgh? LOL they made him one of the league's best-paid receivers for 850 yards. More than half of his games had him at under 50 yards. John is so generous.

I was never a fan of his, but I am warming up to him. He is a draft wizard outside of RG.

Thank you John!!
Now figure out a way to re-sign our guys and turn four draft picks into Hawk gold, 😉
But first sit back and enjoy this championship, you as much as anyone deserve a tip of the hat and a glass raised your way.

🤩🏆🏆👍🍻

Gotta say that I love the fact that twice now under John's leadership we won the championship and 95% of folks outside of the 12' no nothing about our team.

I love it because it speaks to the absolute power inherent in the values this team is built on and that John (and now Mike) holds closest. Humility, vulnerability, honesty, tenacity, loyalty, accountability - playing your best always, playing for each other, playing as one .

While other teams and the media continue to believe that every team needs a single brightly shining star to hold up above all others, we have 53 shining lights burning together as one.

It's funny to watch them try to fit us into the stereotype, trying to find which guy is THE guy. Which one has the personality to latch onto? The machismo, the big mouth, larger than life aura... They can't find him because he is not here. This team and it's players aren't built for the bright white of the individual spotlight.
And I think to the degree that it can stay this way, Mike and John will make sure the structure will remain so.

MOB.

John was here when we built the same comradeship 14 years ago and then let it slip away by allowing one player to be elevated above the rest. Seattle ball in this era has never been about that.

And I have to give a shout-out to PC for being the guy to bring John here. Without Pete, we don't have John. As much as it was time for us to move on from Pete, he was the one who started this culture of togetherness and playing as one. To what degree John already lived that way before he got here, I don't know. I suppose he had to have had it in him for Pete to see him as a potential partner. So glad he brought him in and started this whole deal.

Lets keep it rolling!

Thank you, John! And I'm sorry, John. Like really sorry. When the O Line and running game continued to struggle in MM's first season, I was one of those fools being critical of you. I didn't think anything had changed with the offense. But more time was needed. There was too much to get done in one offseason. You started to win me back when you drafted Zabel. But the truth of the matter is, you have crushed these last several drafts. And hiring young coach Mike was the best move of all! You have molded us into SB Champs once again! Thank you Mr. Executive Of The Year!

(Now go find us another stud guard and OC). 😉

It's really funny to watch these sports outlet guys on ESPN, Sportcenter and the like sit there somber faced spending time trying to figure out how the Patriots got Rino trampled. 🤡😂🤣🥳🏆
Wow, time to cut to basketball or the olympics.
Starting to wonder how short the clips of our victory parade will be, really tough to send a reporter way up to South Alaska... Oh well, screw em! & twice on Sunday.
I guess the cut to commercial on draft day extends right into winning a championship.

I think it's hilarious how some of the country clings to the Mahomes/Swiftie hype but fails to acknowledge true top to bottom smash mouth football all because of geography & bias.

Doesn't matter. Wouldn't trade the opposition for the world. We are so lucky to have had this team for the last fifty years. Through the good & bad, the pain and glory, from the Enforcer to Largent's payback hit to Paul and the best and loudest fans ever.

It's been a blast and as we continue to add to our trophy case we can be proud that we did it convincingly and with style & class.

*TOUCHDOWN!! SEAHAWKS!!!*

He’s the greatest. Would be awesome to have a beer with him and dissect football.
