Very true my friend, but lately he's been batting at a high average, comparatively he's doing well with his personal decisions.

Now hopefully for a difference making edge rusher soon.

If I were her and I was intent on eventually selling, I'd wait for a hotter economy and sell at the top of the market.
A 6+billion dollar price tag means that a list for potential buyers is fairly small. It’s not like trying to sell a 4 bedroom 3 bathroom house where waiting on the market is wise. Folks with billions to spend aren’t really affected by the economy.

I think we will be able to say this within the next 2 years without anyone arguing too hard - maybe sooner.

That blurb I saw the other day about how young we are (like second in the league or something) is HUGE - just HUGE!
Agreed. I read that article as well and my first thought was we would be #1 ahead of Houston if we knew what we had in Milroe like they do with Stroud. Exciting times.

Any business, regardless of the price tag or the relative size of the pool of potential buyers, has it's value effected by the economy. Television deals, merchandise sales, advertising revenue, etc. are all up when the economy is up. Plus, with a hot economy, that "fairly small" list of potential buyers is a little more crowded with more wealthy people being created. Which in turn creates more competition for that rare opportunity to purchase a license to print money professional sports franchise.

I think it depends on if you think the league will keep growing at the pace it has. There's concerns in the NBA that the bubble is about to burst and that's why so many owners have been selling up recently.

$6b is the floor, it was the price before we promoted John Schneider to President of Football operations, hired Mike Macdonald, fixed our rosters, especially the OL and QB situations. We are a dynasty now, and the price shall reflect that.

If one million Hawk fans bought the Seahawks for $6B, each would pay $6000. A million turned out for the SB parade, time to pony-up.
Maybe if we all bet on the over 7.5 wins and had some yard sales full of Seahawk bling we could raise the cash.
A 12th man ownership body could vote on things like... throwback uniforms, lower beer prices, crucial Seagal issues, 1st round picks, flag raisers, ROH inductees, lime green uni ban, you get the picture.

Unfortunately, it's not allowed. You have to have a majority owner who owns at least 30% of the team, and you can have no more than 26 owners including that majority owner. GB is grandfathered in. But...I kind of like the idea of communal ownership of a team. It seems like the socialist model works pretty good in GB.

You know the O-line was a topic of discussion when he was in that contract meeting.

He probably had to commit to the O-line over the next couple of years to get that extension.

Football wise, he does most everything right, hopefully he learned from his mistakes.

Ole Toffee hardest hit by this news.
I am debating which restaurant to have our celebration dinner with John Schneider. Any suggestions? I am hoping that JS will come with lovely Jody, quite sure we shall have fun, see below.

The Raiders signing Jamal Adams was very telling and really a kind of a pardon for JS.
Could not agree more
Couple it with the extension of Schneider, looks a lot like a Pete move.
Which at the end of the day who cares, we got exciting NEW football to look forward to this season

Since the will dictates the team to be sold…my guess is the extension is for continuity

If you had communism , I mean socialist style operation of GB , why haven't 50,000 cheeseheads voted for 1 dollar beers and free parking?

Maybe have a poll on who to draft?

The team is ran the same way all the other teams are ran.

It's not run like all other teams. It has to disclose its finances unlike all other teams. It is a non-profit entity. They have a board of directors calling the shots, unlike, say, a Jerry Jones dolng so. The governing body of the team is elected, not appointed.

It seems you got all bent out of shape at the word socialist. LOL

That's because I know it sucks and doesn't work.
Ultimately the Packers are ran by a president , GM , head coach just like any other team. Ted Thompson didn't have to run shit by anyone.
