I guarantee I could put a better product on the field than Grubb..it wouldn't be a problem at all.

I say this with a touch of sarcasm..is it so hard to mix things up a little. To do some film study to determine what may work against different teams schemes, to get the QB out of the pocket now and then to create, to run different jet sweeps etc..its just mind boggling why a supposed OC couldn't be more creative week to week. Does he not think things through thoroughly? Do they practice anything new to throw at individual teams defences? Is Mr Grubbs the best guy? Idk..

The defense did a better job than the offense this game.
And maybe that is a sign that our offense is hamstrung without DK.

But for the most part, the OC has been doing a much better job than our DC and HC this season. The defense has been abysmal. The offense middle-tier.

I am curious what ANY OC can do with:

- THE worst OL in the NFL
- a RB you cannot count on to get you a single yard when you need it
(basically a HR hitter that strikes out at a high rate)
- a QB that throws 3 ints in the game and falls apart in the RZ

I doubt the 2nd coming of Bill Walsh could make that work. But if you have some magic playbook that can make the offense hum? Please submit your resume to the team HQ.

I said in the beginning of the year that this team will only go as far as the OL will take them.

We’ll, 4-5 sounds about right.

What can an OC do with the worst OL in the NFL?

Maybe coach them to not be the worst OL in the NFL with severe regression from even the paltry OL play the previous staff could muster up?

Seriously. They're underperforming their talent level, as sad as that is to say because they're not a super talented group. The dead giveaway is that they can't run the damn ball.

I'm not expecting them to be world beaters with the talent level on the line, but Cross is playing well, Laken is actually playing pretty well, and Connor Williams has played great ball at his past stops. The right side, granted - rough. But why is Williams suddenly regressing? Why is Bradford worse than ever? Why isn't Haynes looking like he even belongs in the NFL?

There are too many breadcrumb trails leading directly to the offensive coaching staff. At least the defense is improving. The offense gets more embarrassing weekly.

Very true. I had a well deserved bye week. Apologies for being yell at clouds guy.
Man…good dude and not offended by a small bit of ‘criticism’.

You da ma…da fish. You da fish, Soul!!

Been feeling it too but, you’re not human (or fish) if you haven’t felt some type of way this season.

I think my mind kind of goes back to this when it comes to expectations for Grubb: Pete Carroll is gone because Shane Waldron couldn't figure out a way to get a reliable 1 or 2 yards on the ground last season and he produced an offense that was overall better than this one.

Look at what Waldron is doing in Chicago right now and realize that that dude produced a better offense than what Grubb's putting out on the field here in Seattle. Waldron's probably about to get fired again, for heaven's sake.

I don't expect us to become a run-heavy team (I think it'd honestly be a mistake), but what happened at the end of that Rams game has to be a wake-up call for our offensive coaching staff.

I'd be the most boring coach of all time. I wanna' see the team pound the rock, over and over and over again.
