Was Grubb a Schneider or a Macdonald hire?

Saner voices are saying give Mack a year or two to put the defense together. Maybe Grubb needs at least one season to put the offense together. Arguably, we were better off on the offensive side at the switchover, but still, Grubb is still gonna evaluate players and decide how to put his team together going forward.

I don't think there's any issue with team chemistry or cohesion. There is a lot of pressure on the offense, and Geno and DK played their worst games of the season. Visible frustration is nothing new from those two. However, if Tyler starts getting into sideline yelling matches, it's probably time to fire the coaching staff.

Nah, man. Chip Kelly definitely would've been worse. I think Grubb can work, we just need to temper our expectations this season. With a year in the pros under his belt, and hopefully a better OL, maybe he looks significantly better next season. 6 games into his pro career, and the team has put up 20+ in every game so far. (Granted, against the Giants, they really only put up 13 because of the fumble return) But there's reason for hope. 🤞
I don't know, man. Kelly has schemed up some nasty run games since we've last seen him in the NFL, has an immense amount of experience (important for an OC who is entirely running the offense for a defensive HC), and has some proven QB whisperer ability. I still think he would've been a better fit.

I don't see how it could get all that much worse than this. Their volume stats are good enough but the efficiency is awful and we can't run the ball to save our lives (or won't).

Before the season began, you'd get eviscerated on here for only predicting a 3-3 start. Now fans are pretending to be dumbfounded that this kind of start wasn't simply expected from everyone.

I have to ask here, why the focus on the Grubb hiring? It’s true that our offensive line isn’t up to par but overall the offense is holding its own. If the defense was on par we could easily be 5-1 right now.

With that said, I expected our defense to take some time to get to where we want them, but I do believe that we have some deeper issues in that side of the ball than the coaching staff is willing to admit.
The offense is losing games with turnovers.

Then why isn't he in the NFL right now?

Blaming these losses on the offense is a fools game. It’s plain to see the defense is the weak link right now.

If we had scored more and won more that wouldn’t change the fact that the defense is playing second rate football.
Well, the Offense is also contributing to losing. This is team wide crap lately.

The offense is far from perfect but scoring over 29 points per game average should win a lot of games. If you’re not blaming the defense for these losses then it’s time to take another look
Enough blame to go around.

Not really. Like I said yes the offense could be better but considering their output and comparing it to the defensive output the last three games it’s pretty clear where we need the most help.

We can win now with the offense as it is. But even an improved offense won’t win consistently with the defense the way it is.

but we have a defense guru who barely just got started, and, we did have the best defense in the league before these three games.

In what world did you get idea from? The defense is a**, I never once said they are good. Maybe after the first 3 games they looked improved.
Damn, talk about creating something out of nothing.

The offense is massively inconsistent, the defense can't stop anything, the play calling is brutal at times, and the self-inflected wounds are killing this team.

Everyone is a part of the blame.

I love how when the Seahawks stare down the QB gauntlet of Bo Nix, Jacoby Brissett, and Skylar Thompson they're said to have cemented themselves as the NFL's best defense, but when my Buckeyes dominate Akron, Western Michigan, and Marshall to start the year, everyone is all "they havnt played anyone" and "the combined NIL funds of those three schools wouldn't cover your fourth-string punter's lunch", and such.

I hear ya, my Ole Miss started the season with four wins, 76-0, 53-3, 40-6, 52-13, then they played three SEC teams, so far 1-2.
