He's better than Geno. So there is that.
Agreed. Plus, the Seahawks had plenty of chances to get him before that team did. The biggest difference between Purdy and Smith is the poise. Purdy doesn't get flustered in adverse situations like Geno does. When Geno goes into panic mode it's "G-no" time.I hate how good he is. I hate that he's on that team.
Geno is usually VERY accurate. He had an off game. It's not a regular occurrence.I remember an old joke around here that when Russel threw high he was compensating for his height. Geno is 6’3”, dude needs to do the opposite.
He’s having an off season so far. 6TD 6INT 0-6 on Thursday Night Football. My man got the mark of the beast and he’s not the beast. That would be Marshawn.Geno is usually VERY accurate. He had an off game. It's not a regular occurrence.
He's been very good this season. The ratio is what it is. Mahomes has the same ratio, we can't count on that to tell us the true caliber of a passer. He’s having an off season so far. 6TD 6INT 0-6 on Thursday Night Football. I thought you were talking about GenoHe was in the f'ing SB last year. Try to keep up![]()
I don't completely disagree with your logic. I think if we find ourselves completely out of the playoff race (and in such a clear way that we know we aren't going to be competitive next year either) than it's a fair approach. If we lose a few more I'd like to see Howell. Hear me out Geno-ites.
We need to know IF Howell will be a good fit on the field this year so we can make an informed decision in the draft and what to do with Geno in the off season. Assuming Howell will be a good replacement simply based on practice or just time with the team is not a good approach. Howell's contract is up at the end of next year. IF he is the long term replacement let him take his lumps and let's get it started.
He is what he is, a QB who is not gonna get you where you want to be. Trade him to Miami, or Cleveland for a firebreather of an OL or a good fast LB.Why did he play his worst game with the best pass protection he's been given all year if the O-Line is the problem?
If this was Cleveland, and you had Watson playing badly, you would trade him and try to get better. I submit, that we trade #7 and get a great draft pick next year or young studs this one. There will be QB's on the market, and Geno is going to get paid at 38? Let him go....for the right price. He is what he is, a QB who is not gonna get you where you want to be. Yes, I saw that play vs the Giants also and it seemed like a huge brain fart. He wasn't even going to take much of a hit. Easy for me to say from the couch, right? IIRC we failed on 4th down after that, basically costing us the game.Give himself up 1 yard short when they desperately need it is all you need to know about Geno
In all fairness...the play called on 4th down wasn't exactly great though...at least from my eyes.Yes, I saw that play vs the Giants also and it seemed like a huge brain fart. Aaaah, OK. Not a Purdy fan at all. Just think he's pretty damn good.I thought you were talking about Geno
It’s a Geno thread?
Sorry didn’t know you are a niner Purdy fan
