My thought as well. It looks as if PC/JSI mentioned before the draft that I thought they might be looking for a quicker NT rather than a traditional 340 plodder. Time will tell.
We may need a rotation of 2-3 NT to keep the legs fresh and quick. We have Young, probably a full timer, Reed, probably a part timer, we may need one more.My thought as well. It looks as if PC/JS
Look at the situation differently than many on .net .
I'm thinking with their additions , they're looking at a smaller ( not much) platoon
Approach subbing all game . Fast ,fresh
For 4 quarters. Their is very little difference for Seattle regarding 4-3 to 3-4.
Could Edwards play any NT or do they envision him in a DE role only ?We may need a rotation of 2-3 NT to keep the legs fresh and quick. We have Young, probably a full timer, Reed, probably a part timer, we may need one more.

I think defense can gel quickly. They have a lot of people who have been there to go with all the new dudes.

So MANY new faces, how long would it take to gel?
I sure hope that you are right, or else, we shall be in trouble?I think defense can gel quickly. They have a lot of people who have been there to go with all the new dudes.
What's your thoughts?
They finished as poorly as I can ever remember. 28 -29th? IDKI sure hope that you are right, or else, we shall be in trouble?
To my untrained eyes, the defense of the '22 season was a mystery. We started below average, dropped for a few games, then suddenly we were good. The good defense didn't last though, it went from good to bad to unthinkably bad. A yo yo kind of season. They finished as poorly as I can ever remember. 28 -29th? IDK
What if they could get to 15th or better to go with what I think will be a top 5 offense and who knows??
I think the defense is top 10 by the end of the season. Whether they figure it out in time is up to the coaching staff.
Yes !! Exactly and the big question to me is " how the heck did that happen?"To my untrained eyes, the defense of the '22 season was a mystery. Not sure Edwards played NT? He sure would be undersized?Could Edwards play any NT or do they envision him in a DE role only ?
Thats what I was thinking but I don't know much haha. Not sure Edwards played NT? He sure would be undersized?
A typical Center and Guards weight around 320lbs? NTs often have to take on double team. I guess a light weight NT has some disadvantage?Thats what I was thinking but I don't know much haha.
What's the magic weight for NT? 300? 330? My question is what if you have a guy but he's only 290? That 30-40 LB might make a difference over a 60 minute game but what if they were a little smaller but frequently rotated ?
Just discussing
I see what you're saying. I thought "what's 20 lbs between friends?" But battling 650-700 lbs for 60 minutes could be harsh at 290.A typical Center and Guards weight around 320lbs? NTs often have to take on double team. I guess a light weight NT has some disadvantage?
LOL, I never played ball ... what do I know? My roommate in college tried out to play Center at our SEC program. He was too small and way too slow, so he ended up roommate with he. I remember him to be 6'2" 250-260lbs, that was the '70s, players were smaller then.I see what you're saying. I thought "what's 20 lbs between friends?" 290 ? Sheeesh what a lightweight !!
Doubled your weight!!!LOL maybe in some locations, kids from Snohomish and Marysville Pilchuck always ran big, I was a 125 pound CB/WR and had to block Curt Marsh on one play, look him up......
Shane Pahokua I played against back in the day he played for Marysville-Pilchuck. Badass safety played for the Dawgs. Drafted by the saints I believeLOL maybe in some locations, kids from Snohomish and Marysville Pilchuck always ran big, I was a 125 pound CB/WR and had to block Curt Marsh on one play, look him up......
He was closer to 275, remember they weigh you in High School at the start of the season which is August before you go back to school for Football programs back then, he was already working on adding his weight to go to UW which he had a soft commitment to, had chances to go to Michigan, Notre Dame, and just about every other major program back then. That Snohomish team and two prior as well as a few after won the State Championship, I think they had like 5 or 6 kids that got full rides from that year.Doubled your weight!!!
