We'll really have to play down to their level if we're gonna lose this series. I'm confident the M's can do it!

I'm such a cynical bastard about everything Mariners. I mean all our other lackluster teams regularly makin' playoffs and all...

Lowest team batting average in the league vs the worst record in the league. M's take 2 of 3 I guess. It's so unacceptable and silly as much money this team has to put out the worst team BA in the entire league. It's just sad.

It's the Management. Lou had a team that cared about being their best. Fire the Manager! When will they figure out that this guy ain't the guy?

Nobody is forcing you to watch. We're all aware that the team isn't that good. But misery loves company I guess. Enjoy
You should apply for a job with Root covering the M’s…you would fit in great with all of their “never say anything remotely close to critical” crew. I swear the M’s could be on a 15 game losing streak and all they will talk about is how close they are to getting it together and how great the clubhouse is.
2nd in the MLB in SO 279 in 937 AB…sad
28th in OBP .296
30th in AVG .219
As disappointing of a start as it has been they still have time to turn it. But 4 under and 5 back means they need more than consistent..they need to get hot for a lengthy stretch. My feeling is they absolutely need to be over .500 and no more then 9 games behind at the break.
Just sucks that after breaking the playoff drought and looking like they were building to something bigger they look to be fighting for nothing but a WC spot.

As far as this Oakland series, I’m expecting the usual, they always seem to own the M’s when they are at their worst. At least the M’s will only have to deal with a couple hundred fans.

1 for his last 26 currently for France. Wong is horrific at the plate. Overall, this offense is PAINFULLY BAD. They need to fix this sh**, and soon. Sure, they had ONE good offensive game yesterday.
I'm absolutely worried about this team, at least for now. And our bullpen has been a strength for a long time, this year...........bad.

Meh. Baseball is a game of streaks. They just broke a 4 game losing streak, to two pretty good teams, too. They took the getaway game and fly to Oakland with a chance to build a bit of a win streak before some home games against division foes. I'll wait till after the Astros series before I beging to panic.

I appreciate that they put on a good show, at least. My hero, Dave Niehaus, brought much joy to fans in his 34 years of helping us all cope with the suck (plus that weird stretch of 1995-2001).

And Servais was brought in by Dipoto, coming together.

Not good to do, IMO.

This is the 8th year for both of them.

Bryce Miller gets his first MLB start after a so far disappointing AA season so far. Got a feeling this is a start and then get sent down scenario.
