By NFL standards that is considered open.If you watch the play from the start that guy was open for like a second. There was a defender coming underneath from the left that would likely have knocked it down. I would have just kicked the fg there.

Two problems with that idea, the coach can coach all he wants but if the player then goes out and does it his way, the coach wasted his time. Also, Russell 2022 is a long way from Russell 2013, coaching can't make him younger.Broncos need to pay Sean Payton anything he wants. He's probably the only coach I think can fix the Broncos/Wilson.
Would Sean Payton want any part of that mess? I doubt it.Hard to say this early in the season but Sean Payton rumors are swirling.
Hackett is publicly blaming Russell.
The quote should say "Hackett said."
He was infuriated after that play. The guy is open beyond belief by NFL standards.
It was a designed rub play I believe too.He was infuriated after that play. The guy is open beyond belief by NFL standards.
me, watching the broncos cycle through offensive coordinators before they realize the real problem:

are you at all surprised???Excuse me? He checked out of the run to pass on the final play? This guy and his ego...
Lol a second is what it takes. That ball should have been thrown to the open receiver. How new are you? That doesn't happen with Brady, Manning, Rodgers, etc. Russ left for a rookie head coach and no recievers but that one was on him 100%If you watch the play from the start that guy was open for like a second.
