I hope to all things good it is the Ken and Zach show, I hope that is what Grub is hoping, I hope Geno's arm doesn't fall off from 40 passes and 10 sacks.

On defense, wrap up, tackle stupid.

The defense can’t be trusted right now.

I hesitated to post my fearless prediction thread the morning after a shocking loss at home to the Giants but since it’s a very short week I may as well get under way.

After several helpings of crow, I’ve decided to kick my “Book it!” braggadocio to the curb for the rest of the season. Games like yesterday prove there simply is no way to know what team will show up.

While I do buy into the theory that the Seahawks did in fact overlook and underestimate a 1-3 Giants team, instead choosing to look ahead to a bigger game against a divisional rival, the simple fact here is that they were outcoached and outplayed all game long.

I want so badly to believe the Hawks will put on a much better performance on all sides, having been caught with their pants down, and go out and take care of business Thursday night but my confidence is shot.

Until I see a clear turnaround trend, I just don’t see a victory on the second short week in two weeks.

Aros’ Fearless Prediction: Seahawks 23 - 49ers 27

Aros’ Fearless Record: 4-1
Hawks 30 - jeans 24, weak pnw mfers........ we complain about not being taken seriously and then we go depression mode, y'all ever do sports, you want good players to come here? Stop it.

It’s hardly a stretch for fans to be a touch reluctant after that debacle on Sunday. And now we have 3 days to prepare for the 9ers?

I don’t care who you are. That’s not an easy scenario for any team.

Seahawks: 27
Niners: 24

Assuming no surprise injuries, I feel confident about this game. We match up well with the Niners. We're at home. We have the better QB, the better uniform, and the better city.

49ers.... 49
Sea.... 3

without Murphy i have no confidence in this team.
If a rookie DT truly makes that much of a difference in the defense. He either is the next Aaron Donald or the team is that bad.

I honestly can't even hazard a guess as this point.

And I hate to say this, particularly after forecasting a Lions win AND a Giants massacre - but: "It just depends which team shows up for us."

We've got the dogs. We've got what I thought were decent coaches.

Could go either way. I hope that it's not what another poster said and that our burgeoning home field DIS advantage doesn't bite us.

It's a head scratcher. We should be steamrollering, and we're sputtering. And, oh yea: "Grubb - please get the ******* ball to K9. Also, please google 'screen pass game'. Thank you."

If the Hawks can come close to being even on the TOP they will win to do just they need to run the ball better, if not and the Digits can run on them it will be a long Thursday evening.

I suspect the team can see their ILB issues and the tackling nightmares that they have shown the last two games. I just can't pick against my team which is a spread underdog at home.

The team needs to see some pressure from their DLine on on Purdy or they will not prevail, and will get picked apart.

I've said we would be 8-1 going into the bye week, not gonna happen now. I have to re-evaluate the rest of the season. I don't see us winning Thursday night, but we will see some improvements all around. It won't be enough to overcome the shittiest fan base in the NFL.

Hawks - 24
9ers - 31

I predict more injuries. We are probably gonna see what the back up qb is made of. 8 sacks and three picks. More no hurry up no huddle. Niners will eat that up. Seattle 8 niners 42

Well in theory - if they really were looking past the Giants to the 9ers - they were already preparing for this game. So maybe more than 3 days to create and practice the game plan of all game plans! Hey - I'm grasping at positivity and hope here!

Letting the Giants beat us at home like that was pretty bad. Our coaching staff is showing its rookie colors now. We're trending downward and our defense has been lacking. If we had beat the Giants, I might have made this an upset special. But not now...

Which is gonna' make it even more fun when they win tonight.
I mean, the almighty 49ers clearly can't be beat. Oh wait, they've lost 3 games already.

I think the 49’ers take over 1st place in the division tonight.
I would be happy to eat some crow tomorrow. hopefully we we can
get healthy soon. Right now this team is a mash unit.

So, the world of Madden has predicted two straight Seahawks victories that were not to be... this week, the prediction is Niners 27, Seahawks 24.

Niners get the victory on a last second field goal as time expires in a game that was back and forth all night.

So, here's hopeing my Madden experience is wrong for the third week in a row. (I personally voted for a win in AROS's poll thread but got to be honest with what the video game football gods put out there.)
