Saints defense is vulnerable to 12 personnel. Hawks TE room is deep and they have the RB room to make it hard on the Saints defense. Saints defense is known for shutting down the boundaries and forcing throws underneath mid field. But containing Metcalf or Lockett will be hard even for the Saints because of Metcalf's combo of size/speed coming off the line and Lockett is a rocket coming of the LoS.
Tampa Bay runs a lot of 12 personnel, as well. The Saints held Brady to 18 of 34 for 190 yards and one TD. Offensively they only managed 13 points on the Saints defense.

I can't understanding why anyone would think Seattle can't beat the Saints or the Cardinals or actually anyone in the NFC. The season is short lived but there doesn't appear to be any dominant teams in the NFC, GB looks very beatable. The Giants, Cowboys and Eagles have started well but could just as easily be paper tigers. It looks to me thusfar that the strongest teams are in the AFC

The Saints lost to Carolina who I have to suggest is likely the worst team in the league. I don't think this is anywhere near the Saints of old. I think we have a change to dominate on Offense and actualyl see the Defense make some more stops. Detroit's O has been looking good, NO's on the other hand is likely to struggle.
That's why they play the game. We'll see what happens on Sunday. Perhaps Seattle's 28th ranked pass defense, 29th ranked rush defense, and 31st ranked scoring defense is the cure for any perceived scoring woes by the Saints.

No doubt, or maybe this is the week Seattle get's it act together and starts playing decent defense. We shall see. should be a close game either. I can't envision either team dominating this game.

Three Saints starters absent from from last week's game in London were present and active for today's practice - Alvin Kamara, safety Marcus Maye, and LG Andrus Peat.

This week's injury report is going to be telling as to how the game works out this week. Through the first three games this season Michael Thomas looked just like the same player that had 149 catches in 2019. He was unstoppable. He suffered a toe injury (not the same leg that kept him out recently) in the 2nd half of game three and didn't play last week. Also missing was Kamara and the left guard, Andrus Peat. Peat's replacement, Throckmorton, was an open turnstile. I serious doubt Winston will play this week. Those four transverse process fractures are clearly hampering him. I expect that Dalton will be back in there with an extra week of practice with the ones. Not having Kamara was huge, however. Hopefully the extra week's rest will let him be active this week.

Great to see you old friend!

Geno will take the underneath stuff, the other guy couldn't or wouldn't, the TE's have become very dangerous in Seattle and have to be accounted for, everyone knows about DK and Lockett now, but the TE's will pull coverage off them so a defense cannot cheat, if the defense sells out to stop the passing attack we have a running game that has yet to really get attention but there and will get better as this line gels.

Same with the defense, we looked horrendous when we put a bunch of later round picks on the field for two years, Officials call tickly tack shit on them because they have not learned how to not reach out and get noticed, seasoning and a repour with officials will cut a lot of that down.

What we are missing is a big ass immovable object in the center of that D line to eat space and create mismatches to block him.

Welcome back, Guido!

If the Saints don't drop a 50 burger against this Seahawks defense, they're underachieving.

This is actually quite hilarious. We (Saints) have a good percentage of fans that are convinced the league is out to get the Saints and have been for quite awhile. They are convinced Goodell would be overjoyed if the Saints never won another game. LOL! They say every pass play down field goes against us whether the Saints are on offense or defense. Not too far off there. however. The Saints have had the second most penalties called against them so far this season. As for Dome mojo, it doesn't overcome injuries. Last season we only won two games in the Dome.
So you're saying Saints fans are the 12's of the NFC South? I think this is a tough game for Seattle
and maybe frustrating for a young Seattle team and its fan base.

I don't think the defense will be fixed in one week and Seattle is coming off a big win. There might be
a little let down because of their immaturity. I've always had a place in my heart for New Orleans as
I feel like there are a lot of parallels between the 2 franchises.

Good luck and stay injury free.

You knew I'd show up this week, Aros! Been busy attending games. After 15 years on the waiting list for Saints season tickets our names were finally called. There were over 50,000 ahead of us when we first joined the list. We have a five hour drive there and back every game.

I doubt that, but after three of first four games on the road and the first three against divisional rivals with very solid defenses it'll be nice to face someone else in the Dome.

Absolutely. Our two franchises have a ton in common. That's why I've always identified with your fanbase.

Edit: and ditto on the injury part. We've had enough for a decade these last two seasons.
