Maybe this'll be good locker room incentive to show how much we want to win.

I was originally mad enough to contemplate booing him when he played here, but now think dead silence and ignoring would be the way to go. If only the media would do the same.

Of course, I wouldn't complain about a few extra sacks added to his sack totals.

I think the Hawks are going to be hyped-up in a way we haven't seen in years. They will be up for this game and I honestly don't think Russ will be able to overcome it.

They're reading all the BS predictions about how Russ was the only thing worthwhile in Seattle.

They're reading his interviews about how he wants to be with a team that wants to win.

And they've seen the BS play from him that cost us games over the years, only to have the narrative be about how he couldn't help a mediocre roster and poor scheming to a W.

They're going to wreck the Broncos. It won't even be close.

The more I think about him choosing Denver, the more I think it is because he wants more of the limelight.

As has been pointed out several times, the league is all about selling the QBs and their matchups. With him facing Mahommes and Herbert four times a year, you have more than likely two prime time games that they can heavily market while flexing later in the season.

Add in the Carr matchup since he was top five in passing yards last season. All in all it is limelight seekers dream. It is a lot harder to sell Wilson outdueling Matt Stafford, Kyler Murray and Trey Lance/Jimmy G. First, Wilson has already beaten each of them multiple times (minus Lance of course). Second, there is barely any appeal. Even when they were selling our playoff game with the Rams in 2020 it was Wilson verse Donald.

Think of the way Wilson came back too early against the Packers. Was it because he wanted to forestall Geno's momentum as some have suggested? Or was it because, he couldn't stand to miss out on facing Rodgers again when that QB battle was the talk of the week?

Now he is guaranteed six weeks of will he be able to outduel this other top five QB. Spotlight being on Wilson repeatedly acheived.

Very good point, it's all about media time, that's how one builds future trade value. The rest are just expendable.

Along those lines, the shootout between Mahomes and Allan earlier this year probably added fuel to the fire too. Highly visible game that received a lot of praise as one of the best games ever.

I think R. Wilson is putting too much pressure on himself. Denver is in one of the toughest divisions of the AFC. And the AFC has so many young QBs that are going to be slinging it around. Denver has talent but is it enough to be better than the Raiders, Chargers and Chiefs? What about the Ravens, Browns, and Bengals? Then you have the Titans, Colts, Patriots, Dolphins and Bills.

Wanting to win is one thing but being able to win is another thing entirely.

Since 2016 the Broncos have done this:

9-7, 5-11, 6-10, 7-9, 5-11, and 7-10.

The last time the Denver Broncos had a double digit winning season was 2015 where they went 12-4 and won the SB. There most recent winning season was 2016 with Trevor Siemian as the starting QB as that team went 9-7.

That is right the Broncos last winning season was 2016.

Yes the Broncos traded for Wilson to help them become a winning franchise that wants to win. But being able to do it has been eluding the Broncos for half a decade so far.

I wish R. Wilson luck but the grass isn't always greener on the other side IMVHO.

Wilson just keeps proving he was always about himself and he’s perfect and no one else is as important than he is. This guy is a clown. All that “Go Hawks” was just self branding! Wilson is faker than a designer bag you can buy at a flea market.

He's not putting pressure on himself because it won't be his fault if they lose....

A city that wants to win,
A team that knows how to win.

12 mustn't ever forget this sentences!
Fans want to win. Russ want to win … an MVP for himself. Coaches want to win ... another year of paychecks coaching. And the owners, well they kept “3 playoff wins in 7 years” PC as coach - so they obviously don’t give a rats ass about winning at all.

If only we had kept 3 playoff wins in 7 years Russ we'd be sitting pretty.

Hes a self centered prick hiding behind the guise of religion and his do good attitude. He is probably one of the more fake individuals in sports which many knew even while he played here. Now we don't have to cheer for him..lets ride.
Cyrus, I was going to comment, but I couldn't have said it better.
