I'd fire Schotty to promote Dave Canales, and let Canales bring in outside guys for pass/run game coordinator.

KNJ I'm iffy on, but I'd lean towards seeing a new face at coordinator. He's so, so damn good with linebackers... but he's not a good coordinator.

More than both of those, I'd like to see a new special teams coordinator.

Carroll stays. I'm not gonna fire a perennially successful coach. That's a good way to end up in the basement of the league again.

Schneider stays. One of the best executives in the NFL.

Honestly? With Canales waiting in the wings and possibly being lured away to the college game, Pete might take an active role in trying to get Schotty a head role down in the college game or something to promote and keep Canales.

Not necessarily a "firing"... but a change nonetheless.

Arent both of the coordinators contracts up? Thought both had 3 year deals which ends this year. Would save Pete from having to fire anyone.

Canales just took an interview with Vanderbilt today to be their OC.

I’d fire both Schotty and Norton honestly though. This loss needs to shake the staff up and anyone who watched the past 8 games knew something like this in the playoffs would happen. Only thing for Norton is he did turn that side around, even if it’s against bad teams. I think you can do a lot better than him though.

Offense needs a complete facelift, not just another yes man who implements the same offense from the last 10 years. New scheme, modern play design, tempo changing so no more snapping at 1 second, and not completely relying on chunk plays.

None. The only way I see the seahawks progressing is to get Jody Allen (owner) to have a meeting with Pete Carroll to get his head out his behind and give the reigns to russell and shotty. His philosophy does not work unless he has a top 5 defense and a healthy/work horse RB. Make him the HC and defense coordinator and give full reigns of the offense to russell and shotty!

Both. Even though they may be able to coach the Hawks into the playoffs with double digit wins they have shown an inability to be successful at coaching in post season ; especially Carroll . If the possibility of reaching the SB is taken off the table then even having a 16-0 record is pointless .

Pete. He's not going to win or return to the SB without a team of historic talent again...Seriously if you look at the 2012-2014 team how many of those players became pro bowlers, All-Pro, Future HOF? that's not sustainable. It's almost a bigger disappointment that team did not win more than one SB given the level of talent that was on those squads. Pete has shown he has the ability to turn what should be garbage teams into playoff teams, but also turn what should be a contender into again just a playoff team. I love ya Pete, thank you for everything you've done for this fanbase and org but your ceiling for the Hawks and this organization has been reached and more importantly lowered in today's NFL.

If we fire Pete, it's a foregone conclusion that Shotty and Norton are gone, too. Any HC worth his weight is going to want his own people.
