Absolutely brutal pick.

The results are in after years of futility. And conclusively, any draft nick on this site would do a better job than this current regime picking the players.

As I had put in another thread:

Timeline of the medias reactions to PC/JS regime drafting 2010-present:

Media responses to the picks as they happened-

2010-2013- What are these guys doing??? Who did they just pick???

2014-2019- Well we didn't have that player this high but we all know the success that the Hawks have had with players being picked higher than we thought they should go and who am I to challenge it so... Great Pick Seattle

2020-present- What are these guys doing??? Who did they just pick???

I think LJ represents a continuation of the 2018 over-correction in draft philosophy after the McDowell fiasco. They ignored his explosiveness red flags to bank on his pressure production instead. Another example of seemingly high-floor picks actually being pretty much the opposite.

I don't think the pick was out of left field. I specifically had him as one of the 3 players I didn't want in the back of the first at the time, along with Rashan Gary and Parris Campbell.
