They have him slotted at FS. Could play down low in the slot too, but they're saying FS first.

Pete was on NFL Network and said Nickel and then up on top also.

Yeah, almost a semantic argument. We know Pete loves him some versatility. Sounds like this guy brings that.

Now Pete just said they're starting him off at FS again. Hopefully they let him marinate at one position at least for a couple months so he doesn't even up a schizo. I'm joking, but some kids do get diluted with all the back and forth.

He's seems like a Willie Williams type....Willie had a pretty good career maybe Amadi will too.

He played "two years of corner and two years of safety and two years of nickel'' at Oregon.

Good pickup ... but glad we're not getting him for his math skills!
2 years of corner wouldn't mean that in those two years he wasn't playing significant nickle snaps, which is still a cornerback role...

Willie was one of those guys i took a liking to as a kid when i first became a Seahawks fan. If I remember right he was way undersized and made his mistakes but had a lot of heart....

Former Oregon safety Ugochukwu Amadi fared better in speed drills than those measuring his lower body explosiveness at the NFL Combine.

Amadi ran the 40-yard dash in 4.51 seconds, 12th of the 22 safeties and tied for 28th out of 54 players when including all defensive backs to run at the Combine.

Some of his other speed and change of direction results were not as strong.

...

Amadi ran the 20-yard shuttle in 4.19 seconds, ninth among 16 safeties to run, and the 3-cone drill in 7.21 seconds, 13th among 14 safeties to run and 30th among 34 total defensive backs.

Amadi measured in at 5-foot-9-and-3/8-inches and 199 pounds with an enormous 77-1/8-inch wingspan, making his 18 reps at the bench press, which tied for seventh out of 21 safeties and tied for eighth out of 51 defensive backs to lift at the Combine, all the more impressive.
