I'm more patience than some and am content to wait on the details.

However, for those in a hurry ........ Tyler's base salary for 2021 was $11,000,000. So $11,000,000 minus the $900,000 for a CBA mandated minimum salary number for 6 year veterans leaves a total of $10,100,000 the team can move around. Some or all of that $10,100,000 could be converted to a signing bonus. With a four year extension added to existing year, 4/5ths of a prorated signing bonus ($8,080,000) could be applied to future years.

So, up to $8,080,000 less the current #51st highest roster number of $660,000 potentially results in a maximum of $7,420,000 available for cap space with the current 51 man roster.

The actual numbers depend on the actual signing bonus and performance and incentive details.

Given all the interest, actual numbers may leak out soon.

EDIT: Note that there is a distinction to be made between team cap space and player cap number. If the team creates the maximum cap space it can with the extension, Tyler's cap number for 2021 could be reduced to 2,250,000 + 500,000 + 1,200,222 + 2,020.000 + 900,000* = $6,870,00* while retaining existing bonuses and incentives. We'll see :biggthumpup:

It is always interesting to see actual numbers, after the fact. Esp. compared to what is reported.
I know they are just doing their jobs, but it's always a nice surprise when the ACTUAL numbers come out. Look at Hyder, that contract was way better than was originally reported.

He's definitely a number 1 caliber receiver, but he's the second best overall on the team as it stands.

Perhaps Pete has really got a different actual agenda than just being a running team.
