Was coming to post this as well but for some reason I can’t create new posts… “insufficient privileges” anyone know anything about that?

Anyway - glad this is done extremely early in camp!

Last year's 35th overall pick had 92% of his contract fully guaranteed.

Other than 8%, what's the difference between 92% and 100% fully guaranteed.

There is some kind of rule about new posters needing to have a certain number of posts before they can initiate a thread. At the moment I cannot recall the exact details. Maybe 100 posts or something like that. Just carry on with what you have been doing and soon enough your privileges will all be uncorked.

Well now they will have to give a fully burdened contract to Arroyo. I wouldn’t have given it. So if he sucks then what. 4 years we have to deal with him. Can’t release him. Most second round picks are busts. He is big and fast. Doesn’t mean he’s the next Kam.

Thank you. I can't believe anyone thinks giving a fully guaranteed contract to anyone in pro football is a good idea. I mean, really? Do any of you guys even watch football?

Unfortunately, as someone who went through this, I can say that back when I went way past the 100 post mark, I still didn't get "privileges" until I contacted AROS.

We don't live in a vacuum. The #33 and #34 picks this year got fully guaranteed contracts. Last year's #35 pick got 92% guaranteed. The 49ers just set the sliding scale at #43 by guaranteeing 88%. But I guess we could have decided to be the Bengals instead, though...

I’m glad the deal is done. His talent level he’s probably worth his 4 year price annually anyway. Now we don’t have to worry about him losing any important practice time.
That is one of the things I really like about him. Signed or not he made certain he didn't miss out on anything, including taking advantage of Coaches revolving door. He and Spoon together on the same team is an awesome development.

I think the dominos were set to fall anyways. Second round picks will now all be fully guaranteed, I believe.
