Current top NIL money is 4-6 million, which is around the 6th to 10th round, but NIL would essentially be guaranteed, while there is no guarantee in that draft position.
I doubt it will be long before top NIL exceeds the rookie wages in all but the first 2-3 rounds.
Of course the people making top NIL are also most likely going to be drafted in the first two rounds.
It will be a question of comparing the guarantees, and the likelihood you will be able to hold or improve your draft position.

I love football, college and pro, but I wonder if the greedfest will one day become too much for me to ignore and still enjoy the game as sport as a fan. Probably not, though its pretty much ruined so much of what I loved about college football as a fan, especially as a UW fan.
I've been a pretty big UW fan for about 35 years, through thick and thin, but my connection to the team has just about been frayed beyond repair by the greedfest and the ineptitude of all the governing bodies which the program is dependent upon. The list is a horror show for a fan like me:
--TV deals that wiped away traditional starting times for games, flexed game times that made it hard for a fan to plan around, etc... It made a mess out of much of what I loved about the college football experience as a fan. It sounds sentimentally quaint now to reminisce about the Huskies taking the field at noon on a fall Saturday to play a conference rival.
--I agree that college players were almost held hostage by their universities in terms of financial opportunities and flexibility of movement, but between a wide open transfer portal and the emerging NIL landscape, it made it increasingly hard to keep up with the ever changing rosters and establish some kind of personal connection with the players and the team. There had to be a better way than what its become.
--The demise of the Pac 12 conference itself. *POOF* Just like that. Years of rivalries and traditions gone like they meant nothing at all.
--Etc...
I don't know. There's just so little respect for history and tradition, for the quality of the experience as a fan. It's kind of depressing.

Right...excluding of course the painfully obvious examples of the NBA, MLB and the NHL. We'll just ignore those shining examples of how guaranteeing salaries undermines a player's motivation to perform at their highest level to prove your point. Strikingly similar philosophy to communism and we all know how that worked out.
Show me those examples because you're just teetering on ignorance here. Also.... did you just try to segway Communism into this? It's Communism to want players to be paid accordingly? What mental gymnastics did you go through to come to that?
