Throwing the ball at the ground at his receiver's feet when pressured was one of the things the announcers were praising him for doing, as it was a sign of maturing and understanding the pressure and not taking an unnecessary sack and/or forced fumble. Not sure what game the OP watched, but those were good moves by Wilson. Not positive ones, but smart ones considering the circumstances.

1) none of the RW throw away were close to grounding. Just above Tate's head, Lynch in area etc they weren't close
2) If Arizona declines the holding call don't we get 10secs off the clock or just start clock immediately?
3) RW played as well as he has all year - great game. But he really needs to think and be smarter at end of half. The timeout was stupid I rather see a delay of game especially as they were getting pressure. The run - bad decision etc he just needs better decision making there.
4) There is not a QB I rather have. On the first few drives and third quarter it a came together between RW and WRs executing and great playcalling mixing it up
5) Need a healthy o-line but this team can overcome....

To be fair, it was me and not the OP. I clearly imagined it, so I'm just gonna go ahead and back off of it. I was wrong.

apparently after a replay reversal on the Rice catch too?

wtf was up with that. Seattle had to burn a TO?
Nah, that was the correct call. If the catch had been ruled as such and there were no review, the clock would still be running anyway.

Rice was not touched by a defender and rolled out of bound. Stoppage of the clock. No 10 second runoff or timeout required

This one confused me too. They can't be saying he completed the catch and stayed in bounds. Yet how else do they demand we burn a timeout or run the clock down. To clarify, I saw him complete the catch and roll out of bounds. The ball froze to Rice's body the moment it struck him, and as previously stated he roled oob untouched.

Till I read this thread, I was also confused about the non running down of the clock after we were penalized for offside at the end of the half. But thanks for the great explanation.

I agree RW made a mistake running the ball in that situation, also getting caught for the first fumble on our ten yard line was a reminder that he isn't Fran Tarkenton just yet. But his 3rd qtr "on the deck" pass to Zach Miller was world class, with zero chance of a pick off.

And as previously mentioned, not a hint of intentional grounding from the commentators.

I think it's fine to critique his performances, but it must surely be within the context of the fact that he is already a great leader, a game winner, and to top it off a great entertainer. One of those attributes makes him fun to watch, the other two lead to superbowls.
