Seahawks secondary drips with talent and playmakers. Rams secondary is a college team unit total rebuild in progress.
In a passing league that extreme disparity should be the difference in this game.
But ya, if Stafford stays upright and they run the ball with any efficiency, that team is a tough out at home for anyone.
Still, if Geno gets consistent protection, Lockett and DK should just eat them alive.

Because they know us VERY well and more often than not, a smart strategist who knows his opponent inside and out can beat him if that opponent relies mostly on emotion, energy and continuity to win.

McVay knows what buttons to push to get the W. We win when our emotion elevates our execution and we just out-will and over power them. Otherwise, he makes enough cuts to bleed us to the point we lose our edge, and then we are done.

Pete's teams are all about energy, emotion and togetherness elevating xs and os that arent overly complex. It works when the guys come together and play as a seamless piece. If they dont, its fits and starts, ups and downs, and we are susceptable to superior strategists.

McVay's offense thrives on undisciplined defenses. The Seahawks have struggled to find the right balance between being fast and disciplined. So, there is always a deluge of scoring to overcome at some point.

I mean, Geno put up three touchdowns and 400 yards against them in LA last year, and we still almost lost to an awful John Wolford because our defense kept getting gashed in the running game.

Simply a bad matchup for the Seahawks. McVay knows how to get his receivers in space with pre snap motions and play actions. Our linebackers are too slow to cover the flats, too slow to react, our safeties don't tackle well in space.

It's a cumulative failure not being able to adjust to his system after six seasons.

True but the Rams had the Seahawks number prior to McVay. Fisher beat the Seahawks as well. They have always been a tough match up.

McVay and Shanahan were both assistants on the 2013 Washington team that lost to the Seahawks in the playoffs. Their schemes were built specifically to counter the LOB defensive scheme that became popular in the NFL after the Seahawks' success.

As early as 2017, the Shanahan offensive scheme was gutting the Seahawks' defense. But yes, it's very well documented that part of the reason Shanahan and McVay were hired were their ability to figure out Carroll's defense:

The Rams exploit the team's defensive vulnerability which is against the short pass. Besides that Donald has feasted on the Hawks interior Oline.

Our QBs have been overly fearful of the interior pass rush.

The Hawks need to score early and thump Stafford or whoever else they put behind C.

Easy: Seattle’s weakness has always been up front on the offensive line and the Rams have a HOF inside pass rusher and monster in Aaron Donald. Add to that some sort of personal hatred and intense motivation Donald seems to have when he plays Seattle and The Rams having a decent run/pass game WITH creative coaching in which McVay knows exactly how Carroll wants to play, usually amounts to the many recent victories against Seattle.

Seattle with Carroll never hides or disguises what they want to do offensively and the Rams being able to control the lines up front, has been the Achilles heal for Seattle and has given the edge to the Rams for the past how many years.

Seattle NEVER attacked what the Rams are weak against defensively, BUT, Seattle focuses on primarily attacking the Rams strengths in hopes they break.
