Remember the days many 12s - myself included, often leading the charge - were bitching about not getting respect from the national media?

Yeah, those days are over. I can't switch on any national NFL show that isn't talking about the Seahawks as one of, if not THE best in the NFL right now. Outside of a couple haters, most Power Rankings have your Seattle Seahawks football club as the top or one of the top teams.

Respect is earned, and right now we are earning respect through winning. And not just winning, but doing so decisively. But to really get to the mountain top of respect, you have to beat teams like the Rams. Right now, it's a strong argument for which team is better, the Seahawks or the Rams. The two truly top powerhouses at the moment. The Rams are doing Rams things with McVay and Stafford. A tough offense and stingy defense. With their 3 TE sets causing all kinds of issues for defenses, Stafford is leading the way in the MVP race.

But you know who the Rams haven't faced yet? The 2025 Seattle Seahawks. We have precisely the type of defense and offense and coaching that will undoubtedly give the Rams problems on Sunday. They will unquestionably be a challenge for us too. Both teams should trade punches all game long and it will likely come down to the final drive of the game to decide who wins.

It's likely going to be a nerve-wracking affair. The kind of game were self-preservation will be paramount.

The Rams are damn good. But so are we, which is why I am sticking with the number one team in the NFL.

Aros' Fearless Prediction: Seahawks 27 - Rams 24

Aros' Fearless Record: 6-3

OK..OK...I'm going to go out on a limb and call out a THIRD drubbing of the opposing team, even if it's the Lambs. I say we cook their lamb chops good this Sunday and have a feast and shock the entire NFL into submission that we are for real. All I ask is that our QB not aim for the helmets of our players when throwing and caught for an interception (cool trick play but with unwanted results)..thank you for listening Darnold!

If we win...all virtual beers are on me this weekend! 🍻

Hawks 42

Lambs 17

Hawknight RTD 7-2 (come on baby..make it 8-2 this weekend)

I doubt we drub them; the game will probably be close--a 30-27 affair.

Not sure who comes out on top, actually. Heart says Hawks, but head says coin-flip and one funny bounce...

My magic 8 ball tells me it's not going to be a fun game to watch. Lots of frustration , yelling , and hand wringing. Hawks will be up by 2 with less than 2 minutes left, the Rams will have the ball, and I will be losing my mind. But in the end, Seahawks take it 24 - 22

And you just perfectly outlined why I will not watch a single minute of the game until after it's over. I know that's weird for some, but that's how I roll these days as a hypertensive middle-aged 12. I don't need 3 hours of stress, elevated blood pressure, getting upset, barking at the TV, making my girl (who is highly sensitive to energy) cringe. Nope, won't do it.

So we're going to watch the morning games on NFL Redzone, then leave the house at kickoff (1:05pm PST), go grab some lunch and play pool with my phone shut off for the entire game. I won't even know the score until it's over, and I am totally fine with that. In fact, more than fine.

When I turn on my phone, I will check to see if we pulled it out or not. The mountain of texts will inevitably tell me as well. If not, I will be super bummed but at least it saves me the undue 3-hour stress-fest. Depending on how the game went, I may still watch it and fast forward through the crap plays. If we won, HOORAY!! I can go home and sit down with a beverage and enjoy!

Seahawk - 31
Rams - 30

Ernest Jones is back. I'm like AROS above, I honestly don't watch these things until they are over. I don't ENJOY it anymore.
