Thanks Pitt for your clarification, perhaps my post overstated things.

I wonder why though don't you believe this year's team can eventually turn things around? Do you think there's not enough team talent, poor coaching, or?

You’re getting weird. I was vocal about wanting to move on from Pete as were many on this forum. I’ve also stated repeatedly the whole time he’s an all time great who brought us our best ever football success.

You realize multiple things can be true right? You can be an all time great coach and after a while it’s good for the team to move on?

Since you’re trying to remove fan cards and calling people bubs(who does that anymore lol) if me or HG or anyone else is only rooting for the Seahawks to win because we hated Pete, which let’s be honest is a goofy theory, why are we still posting after they lost 3 straight and you….ONLY post after they lost 3 straight? Isn’t it weird you were silent when they won 3 out of the gate and you, as a Seahawks fan had nothing to say about it?

I hope you can post when they win or lose moving forward and prove us all wrong. Seems odd though
Are you insane? You literally pulled the fan card on me. I was being sarcastic back. Ok Bubs. Lmaooo.

How tf they let someone be a Mod who fan checks 1st, who can't understand sarcasm and who hates on a hall of fame coach and then gets mad when someone wants there new rookie coach to adapt from 30th run defense. I have STATED NUMEROUS TIMES how i hope MM is the best coach ever. Just like i dont want MM fired. He needs time. I just dont crown ppl instantly either.

Omg, you better go check Matty B on X since he thinks the same thing about his run defense and how he needs to adapt. Better yet, go tell him he is not a fan.

You need to understand sarcasm better. You also need to look in the mirror and see how hypocritical you are.

You went through my post history, you didn’t post at all during the first 3 games of the month Pete Carroll era but run victory laps after 3 losses which makes it obvious you’re rooting for them to lose and you’re saying we’re not true fans?

Answer this, If you’re a fan of the team why didn’t you say anything about their success the first 3 weeks?
I Understand all of this now. It started with Russ>>>PC and you never let it go even after Russ left.

I expected the inconsistent offense based on a real iffy oline. I didn't know what to expect with the defense. I know we got a highly rated d-lineman in the draft and that would certainly help. I was what we surely needed and lacked. Linebackers group changed and a whole season of Leonard Williams. But I didn't think it would suddenly make the defense great. I thought the defense could improve a bit under a defensive wiz coach and better d-line, but wasn't expecting a huge jump right away.

I also wasn't expecting to look as bad on defense as we have of late. Overall, not a shocker. This team still needs more talent and more physicality in the trenches. Until that happens this team will be erratic one way or the other.

Look, I get that everyone wants to see the team win games right off the bat for a new coaching staff, but you need to look at the big picture. They were handed a terrible offensive line and lost maybe their best player on that line in Abe Lucas who likely will never play again. On the defensive side of the ball, they had no returning inside linebackers, an average at best defensive line, and still somewhat unproven outside linebackers. Even at the safety and corner positions, there were a lot of questions.

People are asking for the impossible right now, which is an entirely new coaching staff with an overall average to below average roster to come in and win consistently. It ain’t gonna happen. The coaching staff needs at least two years to turn the roster before anyone here should demand major improvement. In two years from now, if the same crap is being displayed on the field, then by all means fire away. In the meantime, don’t expect much, and let them do what they have to do which unfortunately takes time.

Now go grab a beer and relax!
I agree with this 100% . There are going to be some frustrating games. This team will get better.

Book it? Haha

What do I expect?
Competency....improvement.....the feeling we are headed the right direction.
I was never looking for instant gratification, though it would have been nice to have.

It is known.

In a lofty place tanglin' with Satan over history.

Oz, non illegitimo carborundum, the usual negative voices have to vent.

Pitt is a huge fan of the team but to him everything remotely connected to the Carroll regime is evil, and as usual the team sucks as a result thereof. He’s constantly a glass half or totally empty thinker.

I am one who posted my unhappiness earlier here in this thread, there is little doubt the D has sucked and the OLine is seriously disappointing, an absent running attack and rather consistent poor tackling. However, there have been glimmers of change for the better and while my expectations for the season are presently under prevision I see the team headed in the right direction.

I find myself this morning wanting to sing that Monty Python song “Always look on the bright side of life”.

Hoping for 5-4 by bye week. I was hoping for a playoff berth which there is a lot of time left.

I honestly didn't care as long as it didn't look like anything resembling a pete carroll team. Unfortunately Macdonald Inherited some of Pete's players so he was stuck working with what he had. I am very pleased to see that he has no issue moving on from a player and bringing in players that fit his vision. Hope to see much more of that this off season. I had no expectations for this season, I knew it would take Macdonald a couple years to mold this team to what he wants. Much more optimistic about next season than I was for this season.

2 years. At least the team is showing promise compared to the last several years where it was literally just Groundhog Day.

A cohesive vision and better physicality--and better young player development.

It's hard to imagine a 3/4 to 1 pass to run ratio fitting the vision of a Harbaugh disciple.

Mcdonald has delivered with some dudes, including Knight, Coby, and Hall. I've seen enough to feel upbeat. As long as Grubb changes or is one and done.
