Jeremy lane made game costing mistakes?
I missed that, I thought he was pretty dope on special teams.
Its not like he head butted someone out of bounds, or was constantly beat on his coverage(Browner).

He should have batted the ball out of bounds at the three yard line, rather than take possession at the one and risk a 17 yard loss instead of a two-yard plus. Stupid. The Tits got a FG on that drive, I believe.

We shut them down. We out gained them, won TOP and had far more first downs. They only generated 223 yds total offense.

If not for one freak play, the final score is 23-6.

23-6 is indicative of the butt kicking we gave them.

People ragged on Wilson today. Yeah, must suck to go 23/31 257yds 8.3avg. and only rush for 61 yards.

People do realize that our QB alone passed for more yardage than Tennessee got TOTAL? That our team is 5-1 and looking good?

I find it surreal that I'm the guy who always nit picks everything our team does and here I am trying to pick people up after a WIN. WTF?

People ragging on Wilson are clueless. That was an amAing game by him today.

Happy for the win, but I hope the coaching staff isn't as forgiving towards the many bone-headed plays as this board. Sidney Rice, Jeremy Lane, Marshawn, and Chris Maragos all made potentially game-altering mistakes.
You got to admit, that Rice made up for some errant play by making that sensational toe-tapping catch at a crucial time when it was needed most.

We aren't playing like a SuperBowl contender but we are a good team that plays football that is fun to watch.

Thus far we are six games into the season, sometimes you are the team you have fielded and at this point there are probably 4 other teams playing better football than us. That is just the truth.

The Titans are no pushover but the Titans with a backup QB on the road aren't exactly a signature win either.

This team might be very good and just not as good as the expectations and hype. The fault would then be on the people making the ridiculous projections and not on the team. We are doing OK with what we have. I think it is fair to state that we do not have the best defense in the league. We have lots of pash rushers but I don't think we have close to a dominant line. We actually look pretty average across the board right now.

We didn't "kick their butts". We won a close game at home after both teams took advantage of some crazy plays.

It's just the high expectations everyone has. I know I have to check myself a couple of times a game, remembering it's the NFL and that the other players are pretty good. The Seahawks have never been 5-1, so I'm trying to enjoy the ride.

There's a lot to clean up, and listening to Pete in his presser he knows it. There was an edge to his voice when he was talking about the fumbles. You can't just give away points and expect to win. So I'm thinking that's the focus this week. Hopefully we can get it fixed by Thursday.

Amazing catch, for sure. But I like to think that Sidney would have made that play even if he hadn't gone full ******* on that fumble. :th2thumbs:

The 5-0
Wilson amazed me. Again. You can't ask for much more than RW gave today. He is so much better when a threat to use his feet. Really stupefies the defense...before wearing them out. Love the kid and had Breno been in the game, he would have had another PF called against him today after the Titan DL landed on RW intentionally hard. I would've been ok with that flag.

Russel Wilson- Our new Backup Holder! Anybody watch Pete's Presser? That was funny as heck. Wilson even said he has held for Hauschka before at NC state! Is there nothing this guy can't do?

The Hawks had some crazy stuff happen in this game including a 10 point swing that never, ever should have happened. They still had a 10 point lead in spite of it with time running out in the 4th quarter, basically giving up a garbage/prevent FG. When they needed yards they got them.

The Hawks broke out big in the second half of last season, they are bound to do it again and start laying the lumber to opponents. AZ is bound to be a tight game, but I am having a hard time picking against a team that just figures out a way to win.

They are 5-1 and have the potential to steal another road game next week. I could see the Hawks going 1-1 with AZ and STL, but not much more can hurt them after that as players return. The OLine and Harvin will be in play, possibly by the Rams game. Miller back next week. That is huge that the Hawks have only lost a single game considering the amount of injuries.

I do not agree that we kicked their butts. We picked up a nice yardage advantage off the big (fluke) pass to Lynch, looked bad on third down, faceplanted on special teams, turned the ball over twice, and again had to play Paul McQuistan. Seattle was awesome on defense, but you'd expect them to be against a laughably inaccurate QB like Ryan Fitzpatrick. They weren't so lucky against Luck.

Russell Wilson scrambling is a failure by the offense. It means that nobody got open, Bevell didn't plan properly, the left side blew a block again, whatever, and therefore Wilson had to expose himself to more potential punishment downfield. That he wins games with it is awesome, but consistently giving Wilson one quarter to make up for three quarters' worth of dumb mistakes and missed opportunities by his team is a recipe for failure. Yes, it's only happened twice since mid-2011, but one of them was costly: the Falcons playoff game. Just one too many mistakes to balance out.

I think people are right to wonder whether we can sustain a playoff run with this kind of unfocused play. Fortunately, the return of Russell Okung, Zach Miller, and Percy Harvin bodes well for a midseason renaissance.

Yep. I still contest his knee was down. Regardless, we overcame that one play and we still won.

I do agree that we had a lot of hidden dominance, but one freak play can change a game and make it all pointless. Seattle has allowed one in two straight games.

This week we were able to fight back. Last week we weren't so fortuitous. And people are rightly wondering which outcome a theoretical Super Bowl will feature.

Completely and totally agree.

Fitzpatrick at home... We play like that against Brees or any other legit QB and it's a loss. This was the least impressive win all season.

People who actually understand the game of football KNOW how valuable RW is to this team. His legs are covering up a lot of issues.
And Peyton Manning's quick release has covered up issues for years. Great QB's cover up issues. If you thought we could start two not tackles and not have issues you are crazy.

Winning, with issues. It's a really good thing. Most Super Bowl teams do it.

Better than two years ago when we were getting kicked up about the most impressive losses.
