Kam Chancellor is absolutely critical in getting the coverages called, communicated, and implemented.

Pay that man. The secondary is lost without him.

What the heck does paying him have to do with anything? He's got two years left on a decent contract. I'm more worried about why the heck he came out of a bye week with a NEW injury? You should be calling him out for allowing himself to get an injury coming off a bye week and letting his fans and teammates down.

He got paid. First. He didn't earn it last year. He needs to make it up.

Totally agree, that man is the leader and the enforcer. It showed last year when he isnt out their correcting things and it showed again today.

I'm not sure about this, but it is worrisome that he's getting nicked up more and more. I'd love to pay him, or extend him to keep him here, but that becomes harder to justify when he's missing 2-4 games a year.

Anybody know what Sherman and Kam was beefing about on the sidelines yet? And I agree, coverage assignments seem to get missed when the core group is not in there, it's not just Kam, I think they all feed off each other.

Funny, a couple years ago you were all screaming about Kam's coverage and how dismal he is against tight ends.

That was last year and I think a lot of people don't understand zone defense

It is pretty clear that our defense depends on the 2 safeties.

Been saying it for a while now.

And Bevell better wake up and realize that when the SS Kam is out, you need to not be OK with not scoring TDs BY THE OFFENSE in the 1st and 2nd quarters. There is really no excuse for his piss poor playcalling, but doubly so with the linchpin of our defense is out.

We aren't shutdown without him. Should be clear to anyone that watches the games.

Julio wouldn't have been running routes so freely if Kamtrack was playing.
One stick and he would have alligator arms.

Been saying this for ages about DB, but I'm just a giant jerkface when I bring it up. 8)

But... I thought these are the reasons that Earl gets the big numbers?

Lets see. Kam who has many years of playing together with these guys on a consistent basis or a newb who is just thrown in mix. Oh a miss communication. How bizzare. He must suck and Kam must be the best ever. Kam is great in that position but part of what makes him great is his playing together with the other guys. His sub did make some mistakes but I felel he would get those worked out the more he played with the rest of the gang.

It would seem that way . We are very different on the back end with him in there.

 allowing himself to get injured.

our backups especially in the secondary are brutal.

I think Kam and Earl have some kind of psychic bond out on the field in regards to positioning that cannot be duplicated.

This thread points out a reality PC mentioned in today's presser. It makes me wonder how much of the blown coverages were not actually on Sherman.
